Sorry I'm not on wiki too much lately...
Elevation footnotes
Thanks for sorting this out in the template ... and fixing the Leeds page too! ( I went to edit it, having put the template on my Watchlist and spotted the update, and found you'd already been there). Looks good. And good luck with the job hunting! PamD (talk) 08:48, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Pin point size
Hi Detroiter. I was wondering if you could change the size of the fat pin point on Template:Infobox Settlement to a smaller size 6. Check out Rouen for instance and I think a small pin point makes an improved precision with the maps, especially for smaller countries. Could you make the change? Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:04, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
ALso any chance you can use your bot to standardise the infoboxes on the municipalities of Spain, the current fat ones are horrid. A lot of them don't have any box a lot have the really fat boxes. It is a complete mess. Could you use a bot to replace them with a standard infbox settlement adding data and preferably including a location map spain and most people have no idea where they are in spain from just a municipality map. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:49, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- I took care of the marker size.
- As for the bot stuff: I CAN'T, I no longer have a windows based computer. My only windows based computer was company owned and I couldn't take it with me when they canned all of us. Sorry. —MJCdetroit (yak) 03:33, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Ahhh thats a shame sorry to hear about your job, I'm not exactly finding it easy either. Take care. Dr. Blofeld White cat 14:01, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Request for help
I thought it might be a good idea to run a contest or two through the Countries WikiProject to attract editors to improve country coverage on Wikipedia, especially the country outlines.
I noticed you are a member of the WikiProject, and was wondering if you could help.
I've posted a message at Countries WikiProject talk page to get discussion started on what the awards programs should be and how they should be run.
Your ideas and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Marathon edits
Thank you for your reformatting of the Marathon article, but in the process you made changes in the national style of spelling (kilometre-->kilometer and metre-->meter) that are inappropriate per WP:RETAIN in the Manual of Style. That must have made for much unnecessary work. The article is of international interest and was written entirely or almost entirely in UK style. I've reverted those changes. Please let's not "fix" what's not broken. Hertz1888 (talk) 22:04, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- It seemed to have been a mix of both British and American English, so I choose one. If this caused you itch uncontrollably than by all means switching it to however you like was fine by me. I really truly don't have a preference either way for this article. —MJCdetroit (yak) 15:25, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for responding. Best wishes. Hertz1888 (talk) 16:01, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Do you have any objection to me reinstating this subtemplate? Or any pointers as to what issues it might cause, or what issues might be encountered as a result? My question is prompted by the request at Template_talk:Convert#Convert_.22or.22. --ClickRick (talk) 13:19, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- I believe that I deleted it because I was going about it the wrong way to begin with (but that was a long time ago). I would double check with User:Jimp first. There used to display the subtemplates that needed to be fix in Template:Convert/Maintenance/outputs/standard, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
- disp=or does appear to work.-----308 feet or 94 metres
- I'll check out the convert talk page, but I don't get a change to login to wiki much, so don't count on me to do any fixing....sorry. —MJCdetroit (yak) 19:51, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Navy and white header
Hi. What would you say about adding a seettlement title strip at the top of the infobox in dark navy and white. Like Golden Gate Bridge for instance. What do you think? I think it would make the place name stand out more in the infobox. Dr. Blofeld White cat 09:29, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- i did tht before & some ppl don't like it. Caused a real shit storm. blank was neutral & non offensive. but propse it again. —MJCdetroit (yak) 14:22, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Where do I propose the change? Yeah some people resist to even the smallest of changes. Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:35, 15 June 2009 (UTC) Template:Location map Russia Chukotka Autonomous Okrug is not accurate. It is the eastern coordinates that are wrong. Could you fix it when you come back. Very sorry that you can't edit much anyway such are the hard times. Best wishes anyway Dr. Blofeld White cat 17:32, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

- I spent about 20 minutes (that's 20 more than I should have) and STARTED Template:Infobox refinery. It is not complete. You can finish the rest of it how you wish. It should be simple because I based the code on Template:Infobox. You can the pattern of how I did the code on
{{Infobox refinery}}
in relation to{{Infobox}}
's standard code. I am not sure what "Refining units" are. Are they units of measurement (like barrels or cubic meters) or do they refer to some subdivision within the refinery? If you meant units of measurement, then it is redundant because if you use {{convert}} both units used will be labeled and you can link it if desired.
- Here is the example that I started in the sandbox: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:X6&oldid=305379754
- I will not be able to help you complete it or even answer questions if you get stuck. I start a new job next week and will literally be gone in training for the rest of the year then come home at Christmas, then back to a temporary assignment 2,000 miles away for another 10 months. Therefore, for intends and purposes, I will fall off the map for awhile.
- Good Luck.
- Hello MJC Detroit
- Thank you very much about you're help about the Refinery Infobox. About you're question, the refining units are a subdivision of the refinery like Alkylation, Distillation of crude oil unit, Isomerisation, Catalytic Craking and other...
- You can see the result on this page : Shell Canada - Montreal East Refinery, Imperial Oil - Dartmouth Refinery.
- Thank you ! You're a real wikipartner ! Have a nice day for you and for you're child too ;-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fredoues (talk • contribs) 14:18, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

$ per square foot conversion
I need a template for converting $/square foot to $/square meter. Can {{convert}} be adapted for such a purpose? I need such a template at Trump International Hotel and Tower (Chicago) and I doubt this is the only place it could be useful on wikipedia.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 21:04, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Template:Infobox weather
I just noticed (after a year) that the % humidity didn't work for Canada. I've added both an optional Humidex and wind chill rows. To make things easier for converting over Canadian pages I just added a "D" after "Hum". Currently the only place that uses it is Alert, Nunavut. Enter CambridgeBayWeather, waits for audience applause, not a sausage 23:03, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
