Citation and Copyedit

@Grlucas: Yes sir. I added a citation to my sandbox. I thought the exercise on the training site was for practice and I wanted to be comfortable with adding a citation before making a serious change to another article. I also did the one that was guided about the crab. I'm sorry I must've misread the instructions. I also worked on adding citations on the draft page of the article I am starting. They simply said "Add a citaton" and "copyedit an article". The instructions for the copyedit said that "You don’t need to contribute new information to the article." I apologize if my edit was not suitable. I just completed what the exercise noted to do. I can complete something more if needed.Kehli.west (talk) 02:05, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

@Kehli.west: That is a web site, so you must use the web template. Here is sample code to fix the entire paragraph:

The population of Milledgeville was 18,614 according to the 2018 US Census.{{cite web |url=https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/milledgevillecitygeorgia/PST045218 |title=QuickFacts Milledgeville city, Georgia |author=<!--Not stated--> |date=n.d. |website=United States Census Bureau |publisher= |access-date=2019-06-27 |quote=}}

@Kehli.west: It's looking good, but it's not finished, right? You do not sign Wikipedia articles; only talk pages. It's not necessary to repeat links you used in references, and refs should be the last section on the page. I see only two solid references; I would keep looking for more. @Grlucas: The About page that you originally commented was good and the news articles. That make 3 I am sure of. What about the official tourism page? I would think that one to be reliable.Kehli.west (talk) 17:03, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

@Kehli.west: Have a look at Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Acceptable sources (though it's archived). These should give you a good idea. Why do you think the official tourism page might not be as strong as the secondary sources? —Grlucas (talk) 17:22, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

@Grlucas: I reviewed the section about primary sources in the article that you linked. If I can't find a secondary source to corroborate the information, am I supposed to remove the information from the article. Most of the important information comes from the primary source websites.
