Ways to improve 2003 in South Korean music
[edit]Hi, I'm Boleyn. K-popguardian, thanks for creating 2003 in South Korean music!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add your source(s).
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

South Korean music sections
[edit]Hello, I see you edit pages such as 2017 in South Korean music quite often, so I wanted to let you know about a few things that have recently been decided. Joining and departing sections are no longer to be included in these pages - they take up too much space and majority of listings are not notable (they don't have their own article). In the debuting and disbanding sections, only artists who have an article are to be included. Any entries without their own article aren't notable. Please see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Korea/Popular_culture#XXXX_in_South_Korean_Music for more information on this, and for any future decisions such as what is and is not to be included in the release sections. Thanks, Alexanderlee (talk) 00:09, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, M. street. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – M. Street. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at M. Street. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. —usernamekiran(talk) 22:24, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
Actually, they are both the same article. The reason they are duplicated is that for some reason, it wasn't linking to the original page. So I deleted the original (or so I thought,) and placed it under the links. My apologies.-K-popguardian (talk) 00:28, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of M. Street
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on M. Street requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —usernamekiran(talk) 22:25, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
October 2017
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from M. Street, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Jack Frost (talk) 05:10, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
Oh no, sorry. See, there were 2 identical pages, so I made a redirect from one to the other.-K-popguardian (talk) 05:11, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
References
[edit]Hello, I've noticed you're currently working on the article Rumble Fish (singer) and noticed that you cited iTunes as a source. You may want to take a look through WP:KO/RS and it's talk page - I asked about using music.naver (the same way you've cited iTunes) and I was informed that it's better to use an article instead. (I'm not 100% sure as to why, but you could ask if you're curious). -Please don't take offence to this, I'm just trying to help you in making improvements so that the article as good as it can be. Alexanderlee (talk) 18:57, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
Naver is unreliable?-K-popguardian (talk) 18:58, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- It's on the list for reliable sources which was why I asked about using the music section, I think it was just about better references being available? I'm not too sure why it can't be used to be honest.
Ok. Well, what do you think about Rumble Fish now? (I think I completed what I can.)-K-popguardian (talk) 19:08, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- I think it's looking good! You're doing a good job. :) Alexanderlee (talk) 19:12, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
IU
[edit]I removed the part you added to IU discography and I explained the reason. The song already existed in other charted songs part and as I checked the song was not a title track of the album vintage to be listed as a single you can check it on Melon app if you want. I hope my removal didn't create a misunderstanding. Pooriyaa (talk) 21:40, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
It's ok, I read your message.-K-popguardian (talk) 17:15, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Ahn So-jin
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Ahn So-jin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because this is my personal information and goals, not yours. this is my profile and user page, and I only set it up with my information. If you ask me, it's perfectly reasonable. These pages are for people who want to know about the users. and if not, what is their purpose? tell me. --K-popguardian (talk) 22:43, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, I misclicked. Do carry on. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:45, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
Oh. Sry for going off there, heh heh.-K-popguardian (talk) 22:57, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- No problem. That must have been a jolt. It has a webhost profile feel.. I think it is borderline. User:Dlohcierekim/u5 has links to information you might find useful. Just disregard the "deletion notice" boilerplate. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:33, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
ArbCom 2017 election voter message
[edit]Hello, K-popguardian. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of YouTubers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Greene (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 18:23, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi K-popguardian, as the person who edited the picture on the Shinee page, is this a normal way to handle group pictures to just show who are still the current members? I'm asking as we are getting edit requests on Talk:Shinee and at the moment but I'm sticking with what you have changed it to. NZFC(talk) 21:31, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
I don't think there's a rule against what pictures you post, as long as they aren't copyrighted. But yes, this is normal. It helps the readers to understand who's in the group, and really delays some confusion. You can see more example's of this on Ladies' Code.-K-popguardian (talk) 22:15, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks K-popguardian, I realise this isn't to everyones liking but guess this is why they don't like people editing their own pages as easy to let emotions get in the way. NZFC(talk) 23:42, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, it's still alot to take in after what happened. I don't blame them. Still, the least we could do is be more understanding. We can't change the picture or members, but we could at least say more than "we deliver the facts," because let's face it. Even though that is what we are doing, telling the users like that makes us seem insensitive. I still remember when Antonio from NRG died. *sigh* Still, you get what I mean right?-K-popguardian (talk) 23:46, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Notification of edit revert and ongoing discussion
[edit]Hi K-popguardian, thanks for the edit on List of K-pop on the Billboard charts which I have reverted while we discuss at Seeking consensus on inclusion of "other language" albums charted by K-pop artists where I also mentioned you with a "ping" for notification. The discussion is combined on the albums page, (recommended by Wikipedia to combine similar discussions at one place) and includes WayV's charting on the list you edited and more on another list page. Your feed-back would be welcome.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 02:09, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, K-popguardian. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Team 10".

Cut-and-paste move
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Happy Face Entertainment a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Dreamcatcher Company. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. The article Trey Eric Sesler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:CRIME and WP:BLP1E. Non-notable criminal who fails the higher standards for notability for crimes and living persons in regards to one event. Article is a BLP nightmare, and this should be deleted under the BLP policy.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TonyBallioni (talk) 05:02, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

Team 10 (social media label) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Team 10 (social media label), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. –eggofreason(talk · contribs) 23:07, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Team 10 (social media label)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Team 10 (social media label) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. - If you wish to create fantasy pages, go to Fandom or one the other sites in list of wikis and create your stuff there. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:18, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
That's just it though, even though I'm using characters from a franchise this isn't from a specific storyline or anything. This is something entirely come up with from scratch. So it can't be on a fandom.-K-popguardian (talk) 14:39, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

- It does not matter that it is not fandom. Fandom is not policed for fantasy or other non-fan stuff. for example my history of Ireland in song has survived there unmolested for five years. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:31, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
No no, you don't get it. My information doesn't exist ANYWHERE because everything I wrote came straight from my mind and nowhere else. Fandom still uses things that are real, like YouTube channels, shows and movie franchises. What I wrote does use characters and people that exist yes, but you won't find storylines or facts anywhere. The history of Ireland in Song is a real thing. There is no story in the world that involves Off the Hook, Petit Biscuit, MCR, and Donald Trump.-K-popguardian (talk) 16:17, 14 December 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Black Eyed Peas performing Boom Boom Pow with new member J Rey Soul.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Black Eyed Peas performing Boom Boom Pow with new member J Rey Soul.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Blackswan
[edit]Hello I’m not really familiar with Wikipedia and just wanted to ask you if there is a way for you to separate the Blackswan’s wiki page and Rania’s wiki page. A asked a previous editor if they could but I haven’t heard back from them. The reason why I want the two groups' history to be separated is that during an online fan meet with Blackswan I asked them if they knew that their Wikipedia page contained content and history of Rania. Hyena said she knew about this and felt uncomfortable about it. She said it feels disrespectful to Rania since she was part of it and wants their history to be highlighted in a separate way with no attachment to another group. She says that Rania was a good and bad part of her life and just wants to move on. She feels hurts knowing that the rest of the members will now have to be linked to the group without having involvement with it. This is why I ask if you could edit the wiki page to only be about Blackswan and then create another one about Rania and their disbanding and simply leave it at that. Hope to you hear back from you soon, thank you so much. JollyJossie (talk) 23:21, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
JollyJossie (talk · contribs) In the case of rebrands, this is how Wikipedia protocol has always worked. See Dreamcatcher and Highlight's pages, you will find information from when they were MINX and Beast. Blackswan's situation isn't any different from theirs, regardless of the euphemisms they use. It should be worth noting that Blackswan did have their own page but it was deleted from Wikipedia because Blackswan didn't have any individual notability. So even if this wasn't in the rules, Blackswan wouldn't have their own page at all.
DR's marketing strategy didn't help either, considering 12 of the 14 tracks are Rania's with no re-recording, and the tracklist as a whole being connected to one for an unreleased Rania album back in 2018. While Hyeme says one thing, DR has marketed it to be another.- K-popguardian (talk) 21:40, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

. RexxS (talk) 13:39, 27 January 2021 (UTC)You must not attempt to impose your personal views about accessibility over the agreed consensuses in MOS:ACCESS.
The timeline as seen in this version is incredibly difficult for me to read, and I don't have any noticeable colour-blindness.
There is a guidance at MOS:COLOUR and you have been asked to ensure that your edits conform to that guidance. If you don't understand which colour combinations are usable or are having difficulty in finding combinations, please ask for help. It is, however, entirely possible that the amount of information you are trying to convey in that timeline is too much for the available accessible colour combinations. In that case, you should not use that timeline scheme in the article and look for another means to display the information. For example, have you considered using four separate timelines for the four different sub-units? That would allow you to simply show the period of activity and the studio album information, Keeping it simple would allow a monochrome rendering that would also work if the the article is printed not in colour.
In any case, please don't return to edit-warring as a means of resolving disputes, It does not work and destroys the collaborative environment that we should be aiming to create. --RexxS (talk) 14:05, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Don't Fight the Feeling is not a studio album
[edit]Hi. Please don't move Don't Fight the Feeling to studio albums. "Special album" is the term that Exo have used to refer to their two previous winter EPs, For Life and Universe. As a K-pop fan, you should know that the K-pop industry doesn't use the term EP to refer to EPs, they're mini-albums or always something-album. If it was intended to be Exo's next studio album, they would call it "The 7th Album". Surely you've paid enough attention to promotional campaigns for K-pop albums that you know labels always number the album if it's a studio album. Thanks. Ss112 17:45, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- Follow WP:BRD and don't revert again. Thank you. Ss112 17:50, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
@Ss112: A studio album is a term that refers to an album that was recorded in a studio, with multiple tracks recorded in the same session, and totals at over 30 minutes. Wikipedia does not follow the "special album" or "mini album" terms. You'll notice on any article for a kpop group that Japanese and Korean albums are counted together rather than seperately. - K-popguardian (talk) 17:50, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- You're not even talking about what I am. I know what a studio album is, and I know what an EP is. Do you know that the K-pop industry calls EPs? They call them "mini-albums". As I just explained, Exo and SM have referred to their two previous extended plays (EPs) as "special albums", just like this. Why do you think this is a studio album? If it was, it would be called "The 7th Album". They haven't used that terminology. Ss112 17:53, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
That's it I'm taking this to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Korea/Popular culture. Also your logic doesn't make sense because you're putting the new album in extended plays after making a point Korean's don't have extended plays. - K-popguardian (talk) 17:55, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- Good, go there. Also, I didn't say the K-pop industry doesn't have EPs. I said EPs are called different things there. They're called mini-albums, or in Exo's case, if it's a winter-themed EP, it's been called a Special Album. Amazing how you're a K-pop fan who doesn't get this. Ss112 17:57, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
I am a K-pop fan who understands these rules. I'm also a Wikipedia editor who follows their standards and guidelines set by previous editors. - K-popguardian (talk) 18:01, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:After We Ride.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:After We Ride.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. [edit]Hi I improved the Draft:Good Entertainment. I'll add more but first I need it to be checked by youWaltzingmogumogupeach (talk) 05:01, 15 May 2022 (UTC).
This is definitely a great start to the article. However, I think to truly strengthen and keep it in mainspace, there needs to be more info about the company itself and not just its artists. That's what it comes down to in the end. Like the article you found on the name change to Good EMG. - K-popguardian (talk) 22:32, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

Do not copy content from another article without attribution, and observe "in use" tags
[edit]Hello. You copied content directly from Panic! at the Disco and copy-pasted it into Viva Las Vengeance without saying where it's from. Do not do this. Always note in the edit summary where you got it from. Regardless, it doesn't need to be there. Also, when an in use tag is placed at the top of an article, it's asking other editors to not edit the page to avoid edit conflicts. Please be courteous and let editors finish before editing. Thank you. Ss112 14:41, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Lightoil (talk) 02:44, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Sriya Lanka
[edit]Hello K-popguardian,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sriya Lanka for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:DR Music
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:DR Music indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. ✗plicit 12:04, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

The article Let's Talk (2AM album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NALBUM
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DonaldD23 talk to me 13:07, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please, ask Wikiproject Professional Wrestling. We have barely include nicknames as part of the title histories. No Jake Snake Roberts, no The Viper Randy Orton. No Bret Hitman Hart, no The Bastard Pac. TIMELESS was just an exception. HHH Pedrigree (talk) 18:20, 25 August 2024 (UTC) if you want, you can start a discussion, but we have always avoid nicknames. a few exceptions, like John Bradshaw Layfield or Andrade Cien Almas or Stone Cold Steve
