Welcome Message
- Welcome to my talk page. For those with the wrong impression, though active in anti-vandalism here, I am not a Wikipedia administrator.
- Like it also says above: Please add your new thoughts, praise, complaints or whatever else is on your mind AT THE BOTTOM of this page by creating a new section.
- It is easy to do that by using the 'New section' tab at the top of this page. Or, join in an existing discussion by posting at the bottom of the section you are interested in.
- Also, please sign your posts with 4 of these tildes ~ If you are looking for material placed here between December '09 and June 11, '10, look for it in Archive #3.

Hare Krsna
"Anyone who does not float in this inundation is most condemned. Such a person cannot be delivered for millions of kalpas. PURPORT The kalpa is explained in the Bhagavad-gītā (8.17): sahasra-yuga-paryantam ahar yad brahmaṇo viduḥ. One day of Brahmā is called a kalpa. A yuga, or mahā-yuga, consists of 4,320,000 years, and one thousand such mahā-yugas constitute one kalpa. The author of Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta says that if one does not take advantage of the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, he cannot be delivered for millions of such kalpas." - First off, as it says repeatedly, please sign your talkpage posts with 4 of these: ~. Secondly, regardless of one's beliefs, Wikipedia has concrete rules regarding the encyclopedia's format; editors who don't do so are blocked, as I see you have already been. If you want to edit, please learn from the mistakes you have made here today. Good luck! Jusdafax 21:46, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about the Vandalism

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Manfred Hamilton
Hello Jusdafax, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Manfred Hamilton to a proposed deletion tag. The speedy deletion criteria are extremely narrow to protect the encyclopedia, and do not fit the page in question. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 10:52, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
I found plenty of sources. Joe Chill (talk) 16:19, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- I looked at 'em. They don't strike me as meeting WP:RS. Still, I will continue to closely watch this deletion discussion. If the sources are judged reliable, I'm open to changing my vote. Jusdafax 16:24, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of The Red-Headed League (1985 TV Episode), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: The Red-Headed League (TV movie). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:30, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
FYI
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give The Red-Headed League (TV movie) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Many Thanks
I appreciate your catching and correcting the vandalism on my Wikipedia page. I am not all that familiar with Wikipedia, and in my attempt to fix what the vandal had done, not realizing that you had already fixed it, I think I attempted to or possibly did undo one of your edits / reversions. I didn't know what I was doing, but the page is fine now. Again--many thanks! --Andy W. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andyw2100 (talk • contribs) 13:43, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

- Sigh. I have no idea about the issues you dispute. Your poor English and manners aside, you need to learn what Wikipedia is and how it works. If you have issues with the content in an article, and get reverted, you must go to the discussion page to talk it over, instead of reverting numerous times, which leads to warnings and blocks. Your extreme hostility does not motivate me to help you much, needless to say. Take a deep breath or two, and try to learn from your mistakes. Arrogance is not a helpful trait in Wikipedia. Constructive? Re: Rock and Roll
Wikipedia say it is free, but friend, this is terrorism because it will not let me write what I researched on their own sources (Wikipedia). Says it is not constructive for terrorists (liars and thieves) but for the truth, they want to silence him, but can not. Friends may buy to Zapatero and other politicians sold, but not the population as Spain said the journalist that they threw the shoe and others who have left them with an outstretched hand, and their soldiers drugged, drunken gay and resigned nationality, because they do not want them. I'm impartial, so I decided to investigate and help supplement the information you wrote on this subject in which recognize that even before the 50's this kind of music (rock) was already known, or was not hurt in the only Christian country called Russia (former USSR) where everything we know (worldwide) that they are the only intelligent, capable of dominating the world with their inventions and technology, we gain with her peacefully (not terrorist like you) good service and who would not hurt hurt. (And as the Mexicans say: "GREEN GO", or Saudi "USA GO TO HELL" or the Nicaraguan "GRINGO FILIBUSTERS" or as we say (USA) why they want to separate religion from state if our dollar says "in God we trust" and we do not want the Amero? and as I say, I should tell the truth, and while, say alive, even against their will.) . I hope to correct the incomplete information 50'sy above to read and research and be mature enough to accept the facts as they are obliged to inform and not to be subservient, being a follower of the group, overriding the "freedom" of Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vasnetsov y SirinGa (talk • contribs) 09:33, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- I reverted your edit as a violation of several Wikipedia policies, including WP:NPOV and a lack of WP:RS (you can't use Wikipedia to source itself, Russian version or no). But the bottom line was that your additions don't fit well with what is already there, in my opinion. You don't exactly come off as willing to learn, but those are the facts as I understand them. If you want to make major changes to a reasonably stable and high-profile Wikipedia English article, you should discuss the changes on the talk-page, and not just try to push the changes you want through anyway. I see you reverted me and another editor has already reverted you again, you will get a second warning. I also see you have left another hostile message. I have taken the time to tell you honestly what you are facing, continuing to revert is also a violation of WP:3RR. Please learn from this... again, my best advice is to take this to the discussion/talk page. Jusdafax 09:52, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

- I feel sorry for that guy. I've noticed at times there is a culture clash in English Wikipedia. But name-callers need to get, and get fast, that this is a tactic that won't get them very far. I've noticed that some people are unable to understand this basic fact, even when they are told directly. These folks, if new, tend to have a very short time here. Even established admins who violate WP:CIVIL eventually are brought to bay by the community, though usually not until a great deal of agitation is required. Best wishes to you, Michael. - Do me a favor and sign your talkpage posts, ok? Now, you may notice that my revert of your edit didn't send a warning to your page, so you are wrong about me calling you a vandal on that edit. I carefully used the non-vandalism Huggle button for "Reverted addition of dubious unsourced content". Next, I seldom remove material from my talk page (as you can see above), so no need for concerns there either. As for your argument that the other descriptions are unattributed so your addition is somehow all right - nope, that's not how Wikipedia actually works. So, pretty much everything you say here I disagree with. Next, now that I look into the article's edit history, I see another respected editor DID revert you as a vandal on this article, which makes me believe I was too lenient.
- You do know the burden of proof for new material is on you, not me, right? I see you have now added a source. However, in my view it fails WP:RS. I suggest you take this up at the article's talk page if you feel so strongly about including your material to Wikipedia; if you keep reverting it just leads to final warnings and a block. Trust me on this. Jusdafax 04:00, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

About the japanese singer page
Thank you very much for your help. But now I have a BIG problem... The website where I found a maximum of the information deleted Aoi's page (since his record company announced about his problem, it's harder to find old information on him).
I also tried to search other reliable source for the events but there is none...
I only find it in blogs. I saw that it's not a reliable source and for the other part of the information they were on the Official Website...
I tried to do something better on the biography but I'm not sure if it's good... Seikyo(Seven) 11:10 (GMT+1), 22 June 2010 —Preceding undated comment added 09:16, 22 June 2010 (UTC).
- If this is your first time creating a Wikipedia article, that's pretty good. Mind you, it needs a lot of work (way too many red-links, for example, and perhaps you would consider that the first sentence refer to him as a "singer-songwriter") but the article is unlikely to just get deleted since it is clear now that you are working on it.
- It seems to me that the references you want may indeed be a bit hard to find, and some are possibly in Japanese language. I'm afraid I don't know much about searching the Japanese internet. Keep looking, and if you have saved any print media that refer to him, like articles in magazines, newspapers or books that mention him and his music, you can cite those as well. I'll watchlist the page and see if I can't help out a bit in the next few days. Jusdafax 09:36, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
It is my first article in Wikipedia English. I first did one on Aoi in Wikipedia France (with less information) then translated it in English and put it in Wikipedia English but it was shortly deleted... I didn't had the time to ask what was not good... Then I thought I could put the best biography of Aoi I did on Wikipedia but... I don't have much time and I don't know where I have to put the reliable source or where put link. I thought there would be other fan of Aoi in wikipedia english who could help me but I feel really alone now...
About the magazine, I buyed one wich had a page on Aoi. It's a French magazine. But most of the information in the biography were on Visunavi... Correction, someone send me a like of Visunavi, looks like Aoi's still on it. But since I used this website for 90% of the information there are in Aoi's biography, what can I do? Do I have to write everywhere the source?
I can search in Europe for the European Event, I think I'll find it easily but in Japan it's harder... I can search in newspaper but I won't be able to find magazine which talk about Aoi... Also, Aoi's record company deleted lots of old information about him so it's harder to find what I need.
But for the time being the greatest help you could give me is to tell me what can I do with the "red links" and where do I put the source thing? Also what is good to put and what is not good? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seikyo(Seven) (talk • contribs) 16:09, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- This is a difficult topic for a first-time article creator like yourself, whose first language is not (I assume) English. I see there are at least two other Japanese artists with the same name of Aoi, which complicates matters, and add to that the multiple language problems (I have no idea how to source a French magazine, for example) and this becomes complicated, even for an experienced Wikipedian whose native language is English. I have made a few changes to the first paragraph for you which you can change as you see fit. Even that still needs more work.
- It's sort of a classic problem; you want to create a solid, well-referenced article but don't know how. The references will go inside these tags < ref > and < /ref > (except all together with no spaces), as I think you know, but there is correct formatting to follow inside. Again, look at how it is done on another article, and copy that. When you think you have it right, hit the "preview" button to see if it looks right in the finished version. If not, keep tinkering with it. That's how I learned!
- Do read the book link Help:Wikipedia: The Missing Manual. It's a lot of good information, so take your time. With that, and by using trial and error, you should be ok. Now that the article has gotten over the first hurdle (namely, it has not been nominated for speedy deletion) you have some time. Since this is a labor of love for you, have fun with it! Jusdafax 17:09, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Thank you very much. Like I said I don't have lot of time but if I understand well I don't have to put links about the lives places? (Also, yes English is not my first language.)
But I think I'll still let a link on the event names which are famous in Europe (like the Japantag or the JAPAN EXPO). About the source I'll see in other Japanese singer biography how it's done...
Ah no... I just watched INORAN's biography and there are no source links... Do I have to create the pages which doesn't exist? I don't know a lot on the JAPAN EXPO even though I went to all the JAPAN EXPO which exist in France (JAPAN EXPO, JAPAN EXPO Sud, Chibi JAPAN EXPO). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seikyo(Seven) (talk • contribs) 17:44, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Try a big name article like say The Beatles, and look at the editing page to see how the references are done, especially the 'cite web' ones. It is true that Wikipedia articles exist with no references, even of living persons, a very sensitive area of Wikipedia. Currently there is a controversy in Wikipedia about this (see WP:BLP to get an idea of the issues)... so that's why I urge you to get as many reliable sources as you can, so your article can't be challenged and deleted. Additionally, you may need to add references to that second article, if possible, and it seems there are other possible articles you may wish to start, if they are easy to reference. However, you also have to watch out not to violate another Wikipedia rule, WP:COATRACK.
- It is unfortunate that you have chosen a such a difficult BLP for your first article. Not having a lot of time is yet another complicating factor. All I can suggest is to try and improve the article(s) a little bit each day, and also try to read that 'Missing Manual' book a little each day, as possible. Learning really is crucial in Wikipedia, and I am still learning myself! Best wishes, Jusdafax 18:23, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Okay thank you, I saw the page of another band... I think: 1. I abandon 2. I rewrite all the article using another Artist's page 3.I put source where I can so that I won't have problem.
I think I'll do in this order if 3 don't work it's 2 and if 2 don't works then 1...
I don't want to use all of my free time to do that even if it's usefull for Aoi. Because I made this article for him, I promote him everywhere I can on internet but Wikipedia is really the hardest place to let an artist be known...--Seikyo(Seven) (talk) 18:35, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Many thanks for that. I've replied on my talk page (in the hope that the two editors see it: at least one of them will, I suspect). The executive summary is: agree absolutely. The pair of 'em need to smarten up, and fast. I'm not going to extend protection indefinitely, not when the easier option is to block to editors for WP:CIVILity issues. TFOWR 10:18, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- More than welcome. It was a bit of a jolt to read, and it seemed if they read the actual rules of this place it might help 'em both (and keep me from bumping into any more of it in Huggle!)... might be a long hot summer on Wikipedia, but here's hoping for an outbreak of sanity. Henry Hay (writer)
Hello. I've reverted the speedy, as the article asserts his notability as an author. Might be a candidate for AFD, but I'll try to hunt for some refs online. Thanks, Empty Buffer (talk) 10:11, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- Well... it asserts it but has no WP:RS so I figured this was the best way. I will try, however, to follow your approach in the future if it is indeed the correct procedure. Thanks, Jusdafax 10:16, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Zac Efron article
Hello Mr.Jusdafax, I see no reason Further reading in Zac Efron article that you can delete it, thanks.--87.109.192.219 (talk) 10:59, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- It appears you are removing a note regarding a book about the subject of the article, listed in the "Further Reading" section with an ISBN number. Looks to me like that material is correct. You merely note in your edit summary that you are removing the material; you do not give your reasoning. It could be that you do not realize that the reference is to a book. I notice you do not discuss this on the article's discussion page either. Hope that explains my reasoning for reverting your deletion. Thanks, Jusdafax 11:11, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Murderdolls: Women And Children Last
My mistake, I didn't know I was "vandalizing." I was merely correcting information. My suggestion is please research and fix the page, it's misleading when you have wrong information listed. The listed producer is wrong. It's not Matt Sepanic, it's Chris "Zeuss" Harris. Even the band's page contradicts what's listed on the album page, and the info on the band's page is correct. Look it up, and YOU can edit it yourself. mytwin 03:46, 3 July 2010
- I have reverted it back to your version with my apologies. Will remove warning also. Please use edit summaries, they save us all a lot of time, thanks. Jusdafax 04:58, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

A Note
Dear Jusdafax,
I represent Doug Adams, the author of the liner notes to The Lord of the Rings: The Complete Recordings as well as the upcoming book The Music of the Lord of the Rings Films. There are several instances of incorrect information that appear on this page, but every time I update them, they are reverted back to their original state. I assure you that I am not a vandal trying to destroy this page, the author and I are very close, and I am trying to fix the incorrect information.
Thank you,

- First off, please sign talk page posts with 4 of these ~, thanks. Like the user just above, you failed to use edit summaries - doing so saves a lot of typing for all concerned. I have removed the warnings on what I presume was your IP number, with my apologies. I also see you have gone on editing the arcticle so I suppose you don't need further action there. Again, please use edit summaries when editing, otherwise it looks like vandalism when material is being deleted, thanks. Jusdafax 05:13, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Kaleidoscope (US band) and Chester Crill
Do you have a reference that could be added for Crill's naming rationale? Otherwise the new bracketed text looks too speculative. AllyD (talk) 08:12, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Actually I believe I do. Hang on, thanks. Jusdafax 08:15, 4 July 2010 (UTC) UPDATE: It comes back to me that it is in that 'Pulsating Dream' website that is cited. The website has a lot of different sections, but the exact quote was about his "straightlaced" parents being the reason Crill came up with all those bogus names. I'll change the edit to quote "straightlaced", to make it precise. Jusdafax FURTHER UPDATE: Went ahead and added the web citation to the exact subpage for clarity. Jusdafax 08:50, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

This was a poor edit. Reverting all the content using a script like this while a speedy tag is on the article misleadingly gives the impression of there being no content; I mistakenly speedied it as 'no context' before my error was pointed out. The article creator did provide a source (a Soapcentral recap), and you removed far more than just "dubious unsourced content", such as the actress, infobox, and times of appearances, indeed you basically blanked the whole article. Actually the content all looks perfectly verifiable to me from a look through Google News archives. Please don't bite the newbies. I hope this isn't your usual approach to dealing with new articles and editors. Fences&Windows 16:24, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agree with your take on this, and no it is not my usual approach. I was not trying to revert it all back, I mistakenly decided the edit was a BLP issue, not realizing it was about a fictional character. I should have reverted my edit right there, but I was confused by the tag and waited to see if the page creator was going to take further steps. Then I got distracted. Again, my intent was not to blank the article, and I will usually do the 'dubious' tag which does not give a warning as a first step. My apologies to you and the article creator, let me know if I can take any corrective measures at this late date. To repeat, this is not my usual approach at all, as I hope either a brief, or a complete look at my edit history will show. I really do try to encourage new users; this time I bellyflopped. Jusdafax 17:15, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- OK, good. I think this one got us all confused. It's all fine now, the content is restored and I've added a couple of sources and a merge tag. A look for sources and comments on the merge proposal would be welcome but not essential. Fences&Windows 20:08, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Speedy Fuster Deletion
Was sorry to see you went along with the speedy Fuster deletion rockin guy. Other more experienced editors (I know, "how can that be with 45,000 contributions?!) would have given us time to get additional references, especially since Doc Fuster agreed to add GNU copyright free language to his sites. EENG was hostile from day one, and might have something against Fuster we are missing. We don't know the guy at all, just saw a review about him getting an award, and figured he's notable. Needless to say he will no longer give permission for anything, given EENG's style (calling his accomplishments "fawning" on the talk page!? Cripes, this is the guy who DISCOVERED memory cells, and there are numerous "orange" references to him on Wiki that now still won't go to a page thanks to EENG). After spending hours doing links in that article and communicating with the principal, we'll revert to being an EENG type editor, throwing stones, dispensing templates, but adding no value unless invited by another editor or administrator with more clout that EENG types, who can provide air cover for our work. Learned a valuable lesson here: don't contribute and waste a bunch of work and time unless you've got admins to go to battle for you, and give enough time to complete the research. We would have been happy to work with EENG, but he made it clear from edit one that he wanted only a role of telling us what to do, not adding anything himself! No tanks to dat. Good stuff on the rock and roll work, maybe you can help with our Loy article? Phoenixthebird (talk) 19:22, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
PS: I'll need to contact Etrigan on Loy, I've now noticed that EENG is targeting ALL our articles, and vandalizing and adding templates to all of them, as a vendetta. Can any of you guys discipline this character? Raining on a newbie is one thing, specifically targeting work as a vendetta has to be against some rule since there are so many here!!!Phoenixthebird (talk) 19:31, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Relocated comment from my User page re: List
Don't take this as vandalism - I only want to talk to you. "The subject of ICP cards has been ranked as #2 on the "things that no one gives a shit about" list, with prunes being #1" was something that was passed on to me. I feel that any facts like these should be communicated. Please inform of a better way to communicate this info - I do not want to be banned from wikipedia.
- OK... first off, comments should go on my discussion page, not my User page, so I have relocated your comment here. Now regarding your edits - they come off as vandalism because they contain profanity and you have not sourced them with a WP:RS, which is crucial. Assuming your list exists and meets the criteria of WP:NOTE, there are still other factors to consider in order for it to become a part of Wikipedia, mainly, it does not appear to be encyclopedic. But that is a matter of content, and then becomes a content dispute. To get to that point, try to source your list, and don't forget to use an edit summary which will indicate an intent to contribute and not vandalize to those of us patrolling recent changes. He's/she's back
Hello. I regret to have to inform you that after just three days of silence that he/she is back and as bad as ever. (Please see [6], [7], [8], [9], and [10].) I started the last AN/I case ([11]) and Eurytemora the one in June ([12]). I'm wondering if you would be willing to start a third as I am probably too much out front on this and it may be more effective if the next one was started by a third editor. I will, of course, be happy to contribute to the discussion in my usual well documented way. WP really needs to be rid of this troublemaker for good. Many thanks!!! Centpacrr (talk) 19:27, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- UPDATE: It looks as if 64.252.0.159 has just been blocked and a community ban is also already underway so I guess that there is no need to post again on AN/I (or AN) for the time being. Best to keep an eye out, however, as he/she will certainly try to evade the blocks and bans via new anonymous IPs and sockpuppet accounts until an effective and wide ranging ban is devised. Centpacrr (talk) 20:58, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- Roger that. I admit I was not looking forward to further jousting at ANI, and thanks to your heavy lifting at that page I believe the community has given this obnoxious character the heave-ho. It is too bad in one respect... the person was capable of decent content work, but their clear inability to behave as a decent collaborator, not to mention all those abusive socks, meant they were not worth having as a Wikipedian. Thank you again for all your hard work on this case! Jusdafax 21:11, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- You're more than welcome. (I'd like to say "my pleasure" too, but it really hasn't been "a pleasure" if you know what I mean!) Having to deal with this individual for three months now has just been a monumental waste of my time and effort, but if it gets him/her out of WP permanently then at least I will have the satisfaction of doing a community service. Unfortunately, however, I doubt that this is the last we have heard from him/her. Dealing with this clown is sort of like playing wac-a-mole with a chameleon. Centpacrr (talk) 21:37, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- I am wondering if there is actually a potential technical solution here to blocking a specific user from editing within an IP range without blocking anybody else. Every computer sends a good deal of information beyond just its IP when it requests a page from any server on the internet. (To see what is revealed click here.) If a filter can be designed to include a number of these pieces of information, or preferably the MAC address of either the specific computer and/or modem it is connected to if that be determined using software like "Find MAC Address", within any of the IP ranges he/she uses that should go a long way to targeting only the user to be blocked. Another option is also to set a cookie on the user's browser that blocks that computer from accessing Wikipedia's ftp or upload functions. I'm not sure how to do that, but perhaps some tech person with access to the WP server logs can come up with a filter based on this. What this would do, in effect, is block a specific computer no matter what IP it is using, but allow other users within the range to access all of Wikipedia's functions. Just a thought. Centpacrr (talk) 01:07, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Outstanding thought... further research is needed on this one! Jusdafax 03:06, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- This would, of course, certainly need to be developed and implemented by someone at a level of technical expertise and access to WP's infrastructure way above and beyond any of us. However there are clearly too many loopholes in the current system that can be exploited by banned users such as this one that I think it may be technically possible for WP to come up with a way of closing using one or more of these techniques. It is something worth considering, anyway. The current system is clearly not able to effectively eliminate highly disruptive users like this one from its midst if they don't want to be. Based on his/her previous behavior, I'm sure that we have not heard the last of him/her. Centpacrr (talk) 06:00, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- Don't be under the mistaken impression that a ban is an end to the problems. Absent a technical solution (which is very rare), all you can do is revert and get someone to block if they are convinced it's the same person. The only reason a ban has relevance is so that you can revert with confidence - 3RR doesn't apply to reverting banned user edits. However, if you are reverting someone that others think isn't a sock of the banned user, then that can cause different trouble of its own. Anyway, good luck! Ncmvocalist (talk) 09:22, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yes I understand that, but this user is pretty easy to identify because his/her practices are so obvious and hamhanded so it doesn't take much to reveal his/her true identity as the banned sock. Centpacrr (talk) 09:31, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism on my talk page
Thank you for reverting the vandalism from my talk page. (Sorry if this was a bit late.) —MC10 (T•C•GB•L) 19:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Delighted to help. That was a nasty one! Jusdafax 02:22, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks!
I've started a discussion on adding the subject as question #4 at the RfA talk page. I'm bad at wordsmithing, so if you have some phrasing you think would be good could you add it there? Thanks again for the barnstar! Hobit (talk) 02:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- My pleasure, and I think you started the ball rolling nicely at the Rfa page. I have seconded your motion, though not before someone gave it a thumbs-down. (Grumble!) I also asked there that we not get bogged down in parsing every word, as some Wikipedians love to do. I will keep a close eye on this and if someone does not soon come up with a simple one sentence question that will cover it, I'll give it a shot. Thanks again! Jusdafax 02:21, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Rhacel Parrenas and rollback
I have revoked your rollback until this situation is dealt with. It should have been fairly clear that the editor, who is likely the subject of the article, was acting in good faith. Definitely not a case for rollback + warn. NW (Talk) 03:16, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- It sure wasn't clear to me. I went to the talk page of the editor and found warnings from anti-vandalism editors I respect highly. On top of that there was a sockpuppet template on the page, leading me to feel fairly secure that someone was pulling a fast one. Now this. Jusdafax 03:48, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Rollback restored, I've contacted NW. Keegan (talk) 05:01, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Dear Mr. Jusdafax,
Thanks for protecting this page from vandalism. I am a minor editor and lacking of knowledge of the security issue / protection of wiki articles. This page is being vandalized frequently by some unknowns. would you please take necessary steps.
Thank you. - Mmh-duke (talk) 16:46, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
- Happy to help. The page doesn't seem too badly under attack compared to some, but I have included it on my watchlist. By the way, no need to call me Mr. Jusdafax (laughs), just plain Jusdafax will do. Best wishes! Jusdafax 16:56, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

- First off you will notice I have moved your text down to the proper spot as the newest comment. Secondly, it is a good idea to sign your post with four of these ~ symbols, and then the coding will do the rest for your signature. As for friends, Wikipedia is not like Facebook, about the closest you can come is to watchlist my talk page, which is usually pretty boring. May I suggest as a new user you take a look at Help:Wikipedia: The Missing Manual - if I had known about it my first day, I'd have been lightyears beyond where I am now, which is just a little beyond noob. - (talk page stalker) This edit? I'd regard it as not very significant (and also uncited). Which Facebook pages people might belong to generally isn't encyclopaedic. Exceptions would obviously be made for something like the "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" creators, but in this case I'd say it's trivial, unless there was substantial media-coverage of his involvement with the page. - Well done - be sure to check the page view statistics to see how many people read your work! I'm sorry that my cock-up got in the way. Author request for deletion
Hello, Jusdafax. I see at User talk:KyleAraujo you helped an editor to get an article deleted by inviting the author to blank the page, and then tagging it as author blanked. This did the job OK, but I thought I would mention that you could have achieved the same effect more easily by simply adding {{db-author}} to the article, once the author has requested deletion, without asking them to blank it first. It also helps to say (either in an edit summary or on the article's talk page) where the author's request is, if it isn't somewhere obvious. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:41, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
- Great advice JBW, and I will take your advice next time. The article creator was fairly impatient, and since he had already tried to blank his article only to be reverted as a vandal, I just did the first thing I could think of. Again, thanks for taking the time to inform me of an easier way... I like easy! Jusdafax 09:47, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
FYI, the registered user user:Premiermaple has deleted the majority of the content in the semi-protected entry you helped with yesterday - you may not have noticed. I've restored it again. Is there something we can do about this user? --C Hawke (talk) 07:56, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- First off, I am not an administrator so my powers in this department are somewhat limited.
- He may be a disgruntled person with a grudge. You can file a complaint at WP:ANI, but I would suggest holding off for now and see what develops. 'Prem' has never been blocked - he has warnings galore, but always steps back from the brink. I have watchlisted the page at least, so when I am online here I can check to see if he's back at it. I will also observe his overall edits and note his behavior. By the way, have you tried asking him what his intent is on his talk page? Trying to communicate with him directly just might be worthwile. If he doesn't answer, and goes back to vandalizing, it is worth noting when further action becomes needed. Best wishes, Jusdafax 08:16, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- Cool - I've added something to his talk page, but I am not hopeful- previous additions on other matters have not been useful. There is a good chance that this person is Josh from a band called Dreamspirit - if so then he knows then subject of this page, and for some reason now has a grudge (his attempts at getting entries on his band were deleted as not notable) -we'll watch and see--C Hawke (talk) 08:35, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- Noted. Standing by. Here's hoping for a cooling off. Jusdafax 08:38, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- UPDATE: An admin indef blocked him after I filed a complaint at WP:AIV. I will keep the Davey page watchlisted, to make sure he does not come back as a sockpuppet (and if so he could be banned, not just blocked.) Otherwise, that should do it! Jusdafax 01:21, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

- It was my pleasure, thanks. One of the main things to remember is that material in Wikipedia articles should have citations from a WP:RS... and because the article is on a controversial subject, this becomes of critical importance. Note how it is done in the editing I and others have created, and please try to follow suit. I will be more than happy to help if you have any questions! Another thing of extreme importance is to follow the provisions of WP:NPOV which is sometimes a challenge for any of us. Thanks for your interest and contributions. Hare Krishna Portal
"Delete - What a mess. " [16] Delete? So you are also against Hare Krishna portal??? You must be either fool or rascal. Yes, this page is still messy, but just because there are so many materialists and atheists here all around, and even having their atheism portal on this wikipedia, so why there should be no Hare Krishna portal??? So if you say - delete Hare Krishna portal, I say then - delete your atheism portal, then I it may be ok. You may leave there buddhism, impersonalism, but all those not authoritative stuff is not to be there. Buddha is avatara of Vishnu. And also Shankaracarya is Shiva, who also being biggest impersonalist, also accepted Krishna, Narayana to be Supreme Personality of Godhead and necessity to worship Him. But that atheism portal in present form has no right to exist. Buddha came to stop atheism - ok, but all those garbage - take that away. I mean impersonalist, so-called followers of Shankaracarya they are rascals, because they do not accept Krishna, Supreme Personality of Godhead, and worship only His impersonal Brahmajyoti rays of His transcendental body. So anyway, wikipedia now disinforms very much, so I challenge wikipedia atheim portal with this Hare Krishna portal. Alternatively, if you insist that Hare Krishna portal is to be not on wikipedia, than I have all the rights to insists that atheism portal to be removed. Just as atheists claim that there is no God, so we can say that they are offenders. And they must be punished. So this punishment for them - first of all - removal of atheism portal. Next we would see. Hare Krishna. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.133.117.5 (talk) 20:05, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have made a separate section for your comment, since you failed to do so as I request at the top of my page. I must say that the previous comments by the Hare Krishna people on my page have not been at all reasonable, as I see it. Your comment, with its name-calling, etc., does not seem at all 'spiritual', as I define the term. Please refrain from further posts on my page, or I will have to start reverting them as vandalism. Thanks in advance. Jusdafax 21:49, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

- Thanks for the complement and the tip... I'd like to find the book, because I see this as a candidate for a GA. If I can't locate it online, I'll go down to my local library tomorrow and see if I can find it there. Between the online material, and the book you mention, I suspect there is a fighting chance to beef up the article's relevant details considerably. My best to you and yours always, Jusdafax 01:00, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Named Refs
Just for future reference, you might want to see what I did here. WP:NAMEDREFS makes pages easier to read in edit mode, reduces the number of footnotes, and makes citation templates easier to fill out completely because it only has to be done once. One more support and I'll put it on the main page. Courcelles 08:04, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- Great, many thanks for that... also, for the named refs info. I have seen it but did not know how to do it, and you just gave me a big ol' clue! Jusdafax 08:08, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
On 26 August 2010, In the news was updated with a news item that involved the article 25 August 2010 Iraq bombings, which you substantially updated and recently nominated. If you know of another interesting news item involving a recently created or updated article, then please suggest it on the candidates page. |
-- tariqabjotu 10:32, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! I think we (several other editors were substantially involved) wrote a reasonably good article there, and I appreciate the ITN exposure. Jusdafax 10:37, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
DYK for Bolinas Ridge
On 29 August 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Bolinas Ridge, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

PROD template
Re: Sintal Agriculture PLC. Please read what the PROD template says. It can be removed at any time by anyone. If it is removed, you cannot replace it.
If you don't believe that the article is a candidate for speedy deletion, your next step is to nominate it for deletion through AfD. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:15, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Seriously, that was rather bitey. Please don't do it again. Courcelles 15:17, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, I had it mixed up with a speedy delete removal. Then I tried to remove my warnings with apologies and got edit conflicts. Jusdafax 15:23, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- It takes a good person to admit when they've messed up. :) We've all done it. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:36, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I don't like it when others make a gaffe and don't fix it, so I try to do right. Anyway, all seems well as I see the user has carried on. Thanks for the mannerly heads-up. Jusdafax 15:41, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Invasion of Waikato
User 122.58.191.195 has made a couple of dozen edits to the same page I am working on, for now, mostly to improve readability and to remove attribution problems, now and in the future. I plan to look for legitimate sources when the basic readability of the page is improved. From his edit history it's obvious he has an interest in New Zealand (and may live there) but the volume of minor edits/undos is kind of astonishing.
I don't want to get into an edit war with someone but feel my command of the King's English is better than his, and that my effort to improve the basic readability of an article that needs a tremendous amount of work (including verifiable sources) should not be in vain. One thing that irritates me his addition of links that only look like links. They are only text attributions with no way to check the source.
Could you please have a look at the edit history of
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Invasion_of_Waikato&action=history
and let me know what you think? I'd rather not escalate this, but I feel someone is taking advantage of the system to promote his own beliefs, style, and way of saying things, to the detriment of what I feel could be a good wiki article about the early years of a well-considered nation.
I'm asking you because you have proven to be fair with your judgements in the past (including with me), and are likely to recommend a reasonable course of action. One person (unsigned, doh, but still added to its own section on my talk page) actually complimented me on the improvements, so I figure there have to be at least two people who like what I've done.
Cheers, Kadathdreamques (talk) 01:05, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
sorry about the quick add, but the user noted above has already been admonished for poor editing.

- Hi Kadathdreamques. Thanks for your kindly opinion of me in regards to possibly being of a help in this matter. It appears somewhat complex, so before I really wade into it, let me ask if your second post means you have resolved your issue at this time? Thanks, Jusdafax 02:18, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
No it's not resolved, but it's also not an explosive issue at this time. I suspect that 122.58.191.195 will be busy editing while I am asleep. My last edit removed some improperly attributed edits by him, with the note that previous senior editors have already warned him about adding original unattributed material (escalated to level 3). Basically I don't want to waste my time improving an article if someone is determined to keep downgrading it with poorly edited posts and impossible to verify sources.
I'm not sure how WIki deals with these kinds of edits. It's not vandalism per se, but it seems to be motivated by a personal agenda. Kadathdreamques (talk) 02:59, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- At first glance, I'd say you should start sourcing everything you add to the article. Then you have led by example, and can revert unsourced and dubious material with firm moral authority, within the bounds of WP:ASG. My latest article Undershaw is my best yet, because it is solidly sourced. (I started the article, but a look at the edit history shows that I had significant amounts of help.)
- Again, I have only looked at the last several edits to the article you mention, but my impression is that you are on firm ground if you reference your major improvements as you go. Feel free to return here with more observations and/or concerns, and I'll also look further into the matter (it is an interesting topic), but for now citations are the key. I'm sure you will take care to use WP:RS, and try to work with the IP user from there. Jusdafax 03:32, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- UPDATE: Having watchlisted the page, I see there are issues. I will continue to observe this one. Jusdafax 00:38, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Collaborative news on quippd
Hey, I noticed that you had recently edited the Iraq bombing attack article, and I hoped that you could help out on another collaborative community edited project.
I run quippd, a collaboratively edited social news site, which mixes elements of Wikis, social networking, and social news sites. You can get some more information about what we are doing at: http://quippd.com/about/intro
Basically, we want to get good coverage on news stories, collaboratively edited, like Wikipedia. We are trying to take the ideas of WikiFactCheck -- to make news less biased and speedier (unlike something like Wikinews). By combining social elements to the project, we hope to bring the benefits of wiki enabled fact checking and npov ideas to the masses.
I hope you check us out -- and feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
--Yoasif (talk) 03:55, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- An interesting site! I will add it to my favorites. It seems I never have enough time with Wikipedia, so I'm not sure I can do much work there, but sometimes the spirit moves me, so we shall see. My best wishes to you and the project, Jusdafax 00:33, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Confused
I saw your comment that you want to speak in defense of HJ Mitchell. I'm just trying to figure out what that means. Are you saying that you think it was a good block and within policy? Or are you just saying that you think HJ Mitchell is a swell guy anyway?--Cube lurker (talk) 22:42, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps that should have been phrased more clearly on my part. In any case, two commenters at ANI have made the case that the issue is fully resolved, and I will submit to that, even here on my talk page (which in any case I am about to give a long-overdue archiving.) To address your question, which I am sure you ask me with the best intentions, I make no judgement, period, except to say that I almost always find HJ to be an excellent admin. Best wishes, Jusdafax 00:29, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- That's fair enough if I read it your emphasis correctly. If you you had been making a judgement on the block itself I wanted to hear how you figured that out, but your opinion of HJ Mitchell based on your interactions is yours to express.--Cube lurker (talk) 01:12, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
