I am completely confused by the deletion review process. I have been involved in a discussion over the deletion of the page on the International Communist Current. I took some of the points to heart, produced a completely new version of the page, and participated in the deletion review process. As far as I can see, that discussion has disappeared and my own new version has also been deleted with no explanation as to why the page is inadequate. I would like to follow Wikipedia standards but a) I am confused as to exactly what to do, and b) I get the impression that another editor has an axe to grind about the page existing at all.
- The discussion is still open and can be found here. The initial article was deleted through consensus determined through a community discussion. Rather than taking some of the points to heart and recreating the article, the appropriate response would have been to open up a discussion at deletion review, presenting the reliable sources and content that supports notability. When you recreated the article, it was appropriately deleted as a recreation of a page that had been previously deleted per a deletion discussion. The discussion can be found here. At this point, I recommend that you create a subpage: User:Jens1917/International Communist Current. Work on the subpage to develop the article. Once you have met the notability criteria for organizations, i.e., significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of International Communist Current, along with its employees, affiliates, and partners, submit it to the Articles for Creation team for review. You will need to specifically state the ways in which previous issues that have been addressed. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me. - Thank you for your contribution to the International Communist Current page. I have attempted to develop it somewhat. The behaviour of Sherlock Holmes Fan is not consistent with wikipedia policy and I am confident that we shall reach a more measured way of dealing with the variety of views as regards this page. I have restored your material and added procedural information on the ICC talk page.Leutha (talk) 12:03, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
