- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

[edit]Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kmart, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Meters (talk) 03:08, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- You really need to stop adding unsourced material. You have done this on multiple articles. Meters (talk) 03:19, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
I reverted your earlier Jill Stein edit
[edit]I'm sorry, but my edit summary was dropped somehow. (I swear I put it in there!) There were two reasons for the revert. The first was that the text you added wasn't supported by its source. Stein didn't receive enough votes to cost Harris the election, and your source doesn't claim otherwise. You may want to read WP:SYNTH. The second was WP:NPOV issues. You might think that BDS is plainly antisemitic, but you can't describe it as such in wikivoice. It's also frowned upon to use WP:SCAREQUOTES. Finally, anything related to the I-P conflict is considered a Contentious Topic, and new editors with less than 500 previous edits aren't allowed to get involved. This is also why I'm not re-reverting your re-edit; this would be considered an WP:EDITWAR. However, the problems are still there, and you should self-revert. I'm attaching a banner as well with the CT details. Thank you! Safrolic (talk) 03:02, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- I accept this reverting and do apologize for any error made. Thank you for pointing everything out. Will revert! Haskeymorrison (talk) 05:43, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Think break, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Meters (talk) 04:53, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
Hot Pants (I'm Coming, I'm Coming, I'm Coming) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Hot Pants (I'm Coming, I'm Coming, I'm Coming). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 19:45, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
