Regarding File:Beavers2000-2007.png
I have removed File:Beavers2000-2007.png which you added to 2001 Portland Beavers season with this edit, because it does not have a valid non-free media use rationale for the article. Please see Wikipedia:Non-free content for the applicable policy and Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline if you want to address the issues. Thank you. If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Luke French.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Luke French.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kelly hi! 13:47, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

The article Taylor Stanton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable minor league baseball player
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:44, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

I see you tagged the Paul Cameron article for POV. However, the comment merely pointed to the talk page for the POV discussion... and the last significant discussion of POV here was in 2006, when the page was in a very different state, making the discussion irrelevant to the page as it is. I encourage you to review the page as it is, and if you see POV problems, start a new Talk page discussion and then retag it. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:28, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

NBA player stubs
Hello Halvorsen brian - Thanks for filling all the missing articles of NBA players. These articles have been long overdue and it is great to have at least stubs in place that editors can improve upon. I have been going in behind you and updating these, but since it looks like you are creating more, I thought that I would request that you could create them in such a way that the articles would be "more ready" from the get go:
- Please add the correct categories - all Division I and many smaller schools have categories for their players - see Category:College men's basketball players in the United States for a full list (if the school isn't on the list, then using the general alumni category is fine for now). These are sub-categories of the school alumni categories and should be added instead. Also - there are categories for all positions (Centers (basketball), Power forwards (basketball), Small forwards, Point guards and Shooting guards) and "draft pick" categories for every NBA team (example - Category:Boston Celtics draft picks).
- Speaking of small forwards, the article is located at "Small forward" not "Small forward (basketball)," the parenthetical is not used.
- Once you create the article, please click the "What links here" link on the left bar. I found many instances where the subject was on one or more templates that could/should have been added.
- Please be sure to add a "default sort" above the categories (example - {{DEFAULTSORT:Smith, John}}) with last name first. This ensures the article is placed in proper alphabetical order when it appears on category lists.
Thanks again for taking this on, please drop a note to my Talk page if I can be of help. Rikster2 (talk) 13:27, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

- Hello, may I also suggest checking the respective players' Wikidata entries? If I'm not mistaken, the Italian Wikipedia already has an article on every NBA player and most ABA players, so even if there isn't a Wikidata entry yet, creating one should be considered. Some of the players also have had long and storied careers on professional level of which their NBA stints constitute only a small part (for example, Mike Davis (basketball, born 1956)). Providing at least some in-text info, external links and categories in this regard would be great. Regards, --Axolotl Nr.733 (talk) 10:56, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 1970–71 Portland Trail Blazers season may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hey. I came across this article and was disappointed to see so much of it taken right from the SABR bio. Yes it was sourced, but one can't just copypaste. Was this a fluke or are there other articles you have written that follow the source material too closely? Wizardman 00:57, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Providence Park
Hi just wanted to let you know why those images you keep adding are not acceptable. Few reasons- firstly, they are not very encyclopedic for a stadium page, they don't show many details of the stadium and in some cases are not identifiable at all as being from Providence Park (like the baseball picture)... in essence they don't add any level of knowledge or info to the page. In a couple situations, they are also essentially repeats of other images used on the page, which is another reason they don't work. Finally, one of them also violated the MOS regarding section ledes. I appreciate your effort but please don't continue to make these knee jerk reverts until you're a little more familiar with WP image policy, thanks 72.35.149.153 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:36, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
