Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, Fernushki, and welcome to Women in Red. It's good to see you intend to write about human rights activists. Congratulations on your first article Samira Sabou. It is well presented, well sourced and has deserved a C-class quality rating, quite an achievement for a new contributor. I hope there will be many more articles along the same lines. In this connection, you might find it useful to look through our Primer. I have taken the liberty of adding the Women in Red user box to your user page. You might also like to add basic details about yourself, for example where you come from and why you are interested in Wikipedia. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 11:45, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, the introduction of inappropriate pages, such as Draft:Dinara Smailova, is considered vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DahSound (talk) 17:28, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - I'm really surprised that this has been flagged as vandalism, and can only apologise if the article reads this way as it was not my intention at all - I've left a comment on the "contest this speedy deletion" page as I'd appreciate some guidance so I can rectify the situation and ideally save the article from deletion. Thanks. Fernushki (talk) 17:37, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've declined the speedy as the page did not fall under WP:G3. 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:1139:1313:E2B3:1E31 (talk) 19:12, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DahSound Could you provide an explanation for why that draft article was tagged as G3? ~Liancetalk 19:55, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Kristen Lovell has been accepted

[edit]
Kristen Lovell, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kristen Lovell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DahSound (talk) 20:01, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DahSound - I really disagree with this nomination. This is the second article of mine you have nominated for speedy deletion today. I didn't create it, I submitted it for consideration and it was reviewed and accepted. I'll be contesting this. Fernushki (talk) 20:13, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Enass Muzamel

[edit]

On 10 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Enass Muzamel, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Enass Muzamel established the Sudanese Female Cyclists Initiative to challenge the stigma against women riding bikes in Sudan? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Enass Muzamel. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Enass Muzamel), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Unsourced date of birth

[edit]

Hallo, You added a date of birth for Irma Khetsuriani but did not give a source, so I've removed it. I looked at her profile at the International Paralympic Committee site, but it doesn't give date of birth (I added it as a useful External Link anyway). If you can provide a source for her date of birth, please put it back in the article with that source. Thanks. PamD 13:49, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
