Since your name is down as one of the reviewers, I was wondering if you could take a look at the Wikipedia:Four Award nominations. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 02:57, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

@Hawkeye7: Sure, I'll have a look (tomorrow my time). epicgenius (talk) 03:23, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of NYC Ferry

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article NYC Ferry you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Citations

When a news piece has a dateline, please include that in the citation, and please do not include "access date" This whole huge bolus of content needs to be fixed. Especially when you are recounting a history that includes future plans, we say "as of X date, Y was planned to happen". But we cannot see X date if there is just the "accessdate" in the citation.

Would you please fix the citations?

Also please avoid using press releases and other self-published sources, generally. thx Jytdog (talk) 22:42, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

@Jytdog: Sorry, I still don't understand why I can't use an access date. I use Visual Editor to add the citations, so it automatically adds access dates. Also, doesn't {{as of}} work as well? epicgenius (talk) 22:48, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
What matters is when the information was created. Nobody cares when you read the source - "accessdate" is only for a website that doesn't have a dateline so there is some notion of how old or new the source is (on a dateless website, the source was putatively current as of the accessdate). Using only accessdate in the citation, nobody knows if the news is from yesterday or 10 years ago - only when you read it, which again, nobody cares about, generally. This is basic scholarship... Jytdog (talk) 22:52, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
Maybe the issue is telling VE to use "Cite web" for things like this:
"Cornell Tech Announces $50-Million Naming Gift for Verizon Executive Education Center". Cornell Tech. Retrieved 22 July 2017.
That is a press release, posted on their website, and has a dateline of February 02, 2015. The acccessdate is meaningless... (you should also note that it is a press relasae in the title
"Press release: Cornell Tech Announces $50-Million Naming Gift for Verizon Executive Education Center". Cornell Tech. February 2, 2015.
I had to manually fill in the date. Jytdog (talk) 22:57, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
I am watching that article pretty closely, as PR people from Cornell tech have trying to make it an advertisement. Jytdog (talk) 22:58, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
@Jytdog: Thank you for the note. I'll replace the access dates where the publication dates were not included. However, I can tell you that I am not a PR person, and not trying to be one, so you don't need to worry about me having ulterior motives. epicgenius (talk) 23:02, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks sorry if this seems pedantic. RELTIME is so important since our articles don't have datelines... Jytdog (talk) 23:05, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

The feedback request service is asking for participation in this request for comment on Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Capital letters. Legobot (talk) 04:36, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

For some reason, that article is not showing the services assigned even though it has the car assignment template on it like all other rolling stock articles. Can you see what is wrong?

Done. The recent page move broke the code. epicgenius (talk) 13:45, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Thanks!

Your GA nomination of NYC Ferry

The article NYC Ferry you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:NYC Ferry for things which need to be addressed. "Donald Trump" (Last Week Tonight)...

... has been promoted! You did most of the heavy lifting here, so congrats and well done! ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:32, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

@Another Believer: Thanks! And good work on that article, too. It wouldn't have been done without your help and, more importantly, your comments on the article's talk page two years ago.
By the way, I'm creating an article for "Net Neutrality" (Last Week Tonight). I think that's a notable topic, and since you've written some other Last Week Tonight articles, I wanted to see if you were interested in looking over and/or helping out with this work-in-progress. epicgenius 00:46, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm working to rescue a few articles lately, but I'll see if I have time to revisit this later. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:49, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

Penn Station Access

I am working to expand are redo the Penn Station Access page in my sandbox. Could you help when you have a chance? Thanks.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 01:01, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

Sure. epicgenius 01:02, 28 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. There is an update in the CPOC report from Monday.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 01:02, 28 September 2017 (UTC)
I must have missed that update when I edited the Cortlandt Street (IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line) article that day, with the updated CPOC. There's also a Phase 2 SAS update. I think I should be thanking you for alerting me to this again. epicgenius 01:04, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

NYCS infobox

One of the parameters for Accessible has to go. I've discovered that it can only handle 5. The 6th parameter doesn't appear on article infoboxes. Cards84664 (talk) 14:15, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

No, the 6th parameter works. It was just a coding error, which I have fixed. epicgenius 14:41, 28 September 2017 (UTC)
