Reverting edits
[edit]Some editors who are highly active on airport wiki-pages seem to be quick to consider edits as being from a vandal or criticse. I have seen far too many good faith and accurate edits, by both other people and me, reverted because a source was not good enough. Maybe they edit 10 different things but there is a small problem on one thing - REVERT IT ALL ! Wikipedia:Baby_and_bathwater ! If I raise a point for a discussion, my comment gets reverted. If information on wikipedia is wrong, I can provide only a primary source to show the information is wrong, and I know a non-primary source is unlikely to be available for a month or longer, and I make an edit, then I get reverted because I did not provide an independent source and I am labelled as a vandal. It seems many possible good-faith edits on wikipedia are at high risk of being reverted with the editor accused of vandalism. Sometimes it seems better to let wikipedia just fester, rot and stay wrong, and avoid the trouble involved. Five years ago, there were far more people, each with limited time in the day, updating airport wiki-pages - many of them seem to have left, increasing the burden on those who remain. Why volunteer to do good, if you know you will very likely be given a hard time for it ? Better to help those who will thank you for your efforts, than be rewarded with trouble. - WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT demands independent reliable sources.
- You should not use the encyclopedia as a personal reminder with a type of sticky notes. you have personal pages for that. The Banner talk 03:45, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Incheon International Airport recently. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think personally, and it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement. 59.12.231.252 (talk) 22:18, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- KorFlyer88, please look up what an editwar is. I know you do not like i9ndependent sources, foreigners editing Korean airports and WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT but my edits are sincere and conform the rules. The Banner talk 03:42, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
