Welcome and introduction
[edit]Hi, Coolfog. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person by golly! And this real person (that would be me), wants to say welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've made an account! Thanks for joining; you're on your way to making some great contributions.
Because I've noticed you've just joined, I wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. Any questions are fine, nothing is too silly (we've heard them all). Now, the tips below - hop on them - they should help you begin editing. Best of luck! JoeSmack Talk 01:26, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page. (You'll want to sign your name with these four tildes ~~~~ when you leave something on a talk page to help know who you are!) Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia! |
P.S. If you just feel like poking around, Wikipedia:Help is a good place to start. :)
Acoustic metamaterials
[edit]Hello, Welcome to Wikipedia. I am glad that you are willing to jump right in and help out with Acoustic metamaterials. However, I wish to point out that the material you wish to cover is already in the article. For one thing - if you want to spruce up the introduction - that is the first part of the article above the Table of Contents. I certainly welcome a well written introduction for this article.
The history of the acoustic metamaterials is actually discussed in the sections below. The sections are in chronological order and each theory or demonstration has advanced acoustic metamaterials. Feel free to add to these sections. If you have trouble with the terminology there are plenty of resources available that can help you figure them out and I can point you to those resources.
There is already an article on Negative index metamaterials, so this section is not really needed here. Do you mean Negative index of refraction?
The basic principles are covered in the sections below your spaces. However, if you wish to elaborate feel free. If you want to do the sections on Acoustic Superlens and Acoustic diode, feel free. I know both these sections need some work.
Well, I am not sure how familiar with Wikipedia you are so I hope you don't mind me pointing out that the References sections has the literature available on this topic. Most of them have a free PDF for the article. Steve Quinn (formerly Ti-30X) (talk) 06:25, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Doppler effect reversed by metamaterial.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
