West Palm Beach images

While I understand the need for user indicating licenses, I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that the images were from an "unconfirmed website" without citing that fact. That just sounds like nonsense. If you don't know where they came from, it certainly doesn't mean it was from an "unconfirmed website."

When I first joined Wikipedia, I uploaded images that I took without knowing I had to release them. I'm so glad people nobody put "unconfirmed website" on those. ℬastique▼^parℓer♥^voir♑ 14:36, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Broward County

Keep your eye on this article. I reverted the anon edits entry about Calvary Chapel as broad vandalism. The individual removed important information from the article on Fort Lauderdale... another whitewash vandal... Thanks ℬastique▼^parℓer♥^voir♑ 18:40, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Most of the well-known slang expressions has cretible sources out there. Fort Liquordale with the amount of google hits it get, it would probaly be sourced in a old article of the Sun-Setenal or the Miami Herald. Thanks Jaranda ^{wat's sup} 21:18, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Your allegation of revenge

Your claim that I'm getting "revenge" for your AfD nomination of Robert Reynolds is ridiculous. I didn't have any strong feelings one way or the other, so why I'd want revenge is beyond me. Boca Raton

The concern here is using the common English name. The problem with Irish names is that as Ireland continues to enforce Irish Gaelic as an official language, making place names with Gaelic-only signage, many people assume that the English name is no longer valid. Because the names in Irish and English are different, however, nothing could be further from the truth. Boca Raton is the commonly used name in English, therefore it's the English name. I know that it could be a great article, but I'm recovering from major surgery and haven't had the stamina to sit in front of the computer too long to research and create the article. Captaintruth, you keep removing my additions of David in the article? David was raised in the Broward county area since the age of two and did not leave the area until he was 26 years old. He graduated from Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes and was a major force in the Contemporary Christian movement along with Amy Grant back in the early 80's. He recorded his first solo album after his families retirement at FXL Studios in Sunrise, FL with famed producer Frank X Loconto who was one of the Lane Brothers. He was also one of the first major Christian artist to record a live album project with Cindy Lauper at the now defunct New River Recording studios in Ft. Lauderdale. This artist is just as important to the history of that area as any other artist you have mentioned. He deserves just as much mention as an artist that helped to mold the Christian music movement as Gloria or Vanilla Ice have received for pop music.I think we need to find a way to include him in this article. • I do not think for one minute that this artist needs to be included in with the hundreds of artists that have not reached notablity in a specific field. This artist did in fact come from the Broward county area and the time he spent there is not even a point here. The fact remains he was a part of that areas upcoming. Both he and Jimmy Buffett were both born in Pascagoula, MS. Does that mean that because they were born there but did not stay that they are not notables from that area? I think not! The projects and time David spent in Florida however long or short was a viable representation and contribution to the building of his genre as well as an important time in his career. There's been a lot of recent vandalism to Miami, Conch Republic and a few other South Florida pages. Sorry I assumed you were one of them. I should have looked at your contributions instead of just throwing accusations. I don't really disagree with the photo choice either, I like the night shots, but I suppose it's better to use a more current day one. I took one last night from my balcony. [3] ..
