The law, and such

Hey Athelwulf, I've been terribly negligent in keeping you in the loop on our bill] (and in keeping much of this stuff moving in any way at all.) I'm sorry. Any chance we could talk on the phone? Drop me an email? You can email me here or call me at 503-453-9766. I have a lot of more pressing stuff to negotiate, and I'm trying to find ways to move this forward. I feel like at the moment I'm hurting more than helping, and would love to find a way for other folks to move forward rather than waiting around for me. Thanks, also, for your vigilance on spam over there. -Pete (talk) 02:13, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Question

If this picture is not of Klamath Falls: File:KlamathFalls Oregon USA.jpg, what is it a picture of sir? I don't known Oregon's geography since I'm Canadian. --Leoboudv (talk) 19:49, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the reply. I have now placed that excellent photo here instead I guess the person in it spoils the ambience of the image but that's life. Its an amazing photo. Cheers, --Leoboudv (talk) 04:49, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Help w/ U.S. marijuana maps

Hi there, fellow WikiProject Oregon member! I notice you contribute to and discuss the same-sex marriage map of the United States. I am continually impressed with how up-to-date that map remains, and how much activity the talk page receives. I am finding it difficult to keep the three U.S. maps relating to marijuana found here up to date, so I was wondering if you might take a look and perhaps even add the images to your watchlist. I tried updating this one over at Commons, but the image has not updated yet (see NJ here). I am not sure if you have an interest in the legal status of cannabis or not, but I could sure use some help with keep the maps current. If interested, take a look! Thanks! --Another Believer (Talk) 18:57, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Re: About LGBT employment anti-discrimination in Oregon

Thank you for the positive feedback regarding my anti-discrimination map, as well as for the warning re: Measure 8 undoing Gov. Goldschmidt's executive order. I actually spent some time examining this a few years ago, and recall finding sites saying that Measure 8 never went into effect as it was declared unconstitutional (and hence, the executive order remained in effect). I did not save my references, but here is one resource -- although, as the case was decided in 1992, it is possible that Measure 8 was in effect at one point. I searched the Google News archives, and the suit was filed in 1989. (Source here) Nevertheless, the first source (which seems "sort of" reputable, but I'm not the best judge of these matters) says that the Measure never went into effect, so I am personally inclined toward keeping the animation as is. However, I'm open to different opinions, and if some info can be dug up implying that Measure 8 took effect temporarily, or if someone with good knowledge of the issue can sort this out, I'd be more than happy to change the animation to reflect that. --Slyguy (talk) 01:14, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Template:Infobox Referendum

I've used your infobox template for referendums several times and just wanted to A) say thanks! and B) ask that if you can find the time, you would make edits to it to allow for items other than yes/no to be included. In other words, while your template is great for those referendums that simply ask voters to accept or reject a question it is difficult to use properly for elections such as the Greek republic referendum, 1974 where voters were asked to choose between Χωρίς στέμμα δημοκρατία (Uncrowned Democracy) and Στεφθεί δημοκρατία (Crowned Democracy). As my skills don't lie in the realm of infobox coding I kindly ask for your assistance if you ever have the time.

Thanks a million!

Portland Parks Photo Blitz!

<font=3> Want something to do this weekend? I propose a WikiProject Oregon weekend photo blitz! Let's try to fill up the List of parks in Portland, Oregon as much as possible by getting out and taking our own pictures or finding ones online that can be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. The pictures uploaded will not only benefit the aforementioned list, but they will be used for future articles about specific parks and will fill up the Parks in Portland category over at Commons. Hi. When you recently edited PQ Monthly, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Washington (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Template:Infobox referendum

Hello Athelwulf. Is there any chance you could fix this template? At the moment, it attempts to display a map even when there isn't one (see here), which makes the template look a bit odd. Cheers, Number 57 10:52, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
