Regarding your question at the help desk, I am not really sure what you mean by broken links. But an internal link that shows up as red means that the article where the link points, does not yet exist. On the other hand, if its an external link that is broken, simply remove it and note on the talk pageo of the article that you removed it. Hope this answers your question.
