ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:32, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Adventures of Puss in Boots.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:The Adventures of Puss in Boots.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 11:47, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ST5 Episode Titles

[edit]

I just wanted to ask why you are so insistent that you won't allow anyone to put "Chapter #'s" in front of the remaining episodes. Doesn't the fact that episode 1 of season 5 and the entire previous 4 season's episodes all have that prefix kind of make your point invalid?? I get there isn't an official "source" that "supports" it, but they will 100% have that prefix. I don't know why you keep changing it. The fact that you keep REMOVING the chapter numbers, just makes the titles even MORE inaccurate. 173.56.210.3 (talk) 02:46, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source for that? "But last season did it!" ain't a source, it's WP:OR. I get there isn't an official "source" that "supports" it, oh good, you get it. Then why are we discussing this? -- Alex_21 TALK 02:48, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DW WikiProject

[edit]

I'm not going to deny the fact we've had more than a few disagreements while I've been here. We have however, always been able to move past them (I think I even had to write you apologies once or twice) and continue to collaborate. I also respect you a lot as an editor and appreciate all the work that you've put into project-related articles over the years (both on the back and front end). That said, I'm extremely sorry to see that you have removed yourself as a contributor of the project. Even if it's down the road, I hope that you might eventually see a way forward and continue to contribute. If not, I'll hate to see you go and just wanted to let you know that your effort hasn't gone unnoticed or unappreciated. TheDoctorWho (talk) 04:28, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I too just saw that you removed your name from the list of active participants, and concur with everything TheDoctorWho has said- you and your contributions are very much appreciated. The phasing out of CultBox is not gonna change much for the WikiProject- we have also done the same for Doctor Who News- and we still have several GAs since. Almost, if not all of the info dependent on it can be sourced from other sources as well. DoctorWhoFan91 (talk) 14:35, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
