Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Midnight Citian, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as History of science and technology in Argentina, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! S Philbrick(Talk) 12:04, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on History of science and technology in Argentina requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://argentinaphotogallery.blogspot.com/2015/07/science-and-technology-in-argentina.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jacques Mesrine, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Clichy. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:55, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The blue linked articles are oftent wrong. Please check and fix first before publishing in mainspace — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vexations (talkcontribs)

I noticed that you have {{Public art in Singapore}} at the end of the list. Are you creating a navbox template? – robertsky (talk) 23:06, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I have. I’m gonna finish to filling the location column. Are you a reviewer ? Midnight Citian (talk) 23:19, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

hmm... i am removing that unused template for now. You can reinsert it when you have published the template. – robertsky (talk) 23:27, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

Seattle navigation templates

[edit]

Thanks for creating more Seattle navigation templates! Many of these were on my "to do" list, so I'll be reviewing them as soon as possible. Happy editing! ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:55, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You’re welcome ! I almost finished the list of templates you have on your sandbox. I'm glad to read that you liked my work. Thanks for checking it out. Midnight Citian Sokolin (talk) 13:49, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think the Downtown Seattle template could be broken up into smaller navboxes for specific neighborhoods: Template:Belltown, Seattle, Template:Chinatown–International District, Seattle, Template:First Hill, Seattle, Template:Pioneer Square, Seattle. I'm following along as you create these and will help improve them over time. Keep up the great work! ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:29, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is the Downtown Seattle template too big ? What will become of this one ? Won't these small templates be duplicates? Midnight Citian (talk) 15:49, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think the Downtown Seattle template is a bit too large. We may not actually need the Downtown template if we can create navboxes for the smaller districts within Downtown. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:59, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, i’m going to create them. Thanks for your support ! Midnight Citian (talk) 19:23, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I added the Eastlake, Fremont, Georgetown, and Magnolia boxes to all appropriate entries. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:18, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, thanks for your initiative, i totally forgot ! Midnight Citian (talk) 19:22, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Midnight Citian. Thank you for creating Template:Russia federal subjects templates. There was an issue with the way that you've added this navbox to the template pages. The issue has been fixed. Please note that template documentation, including such navboxes, should be inside the pair of <noinclude>...</noinclude> tags. See Wikipedia:Template documentation for more details. —andrybak (talk) 21:23, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recently created redirects

[edit]

Hello @Midnight Citian. I appreciate your efforts in creating redirects, but I think you need to be more careful. As @MPGuy2824 mentioned, some of the redirects that you created are pointing towards sections that do not exist. We are both part of the New Page Patrol team and Mpguy2824 asked me to take a look at your redirects, as this is an area that I focus heavily on. In reviewing the redirects that you created in the past week, I found that you had created 306 redirects with 86 of them pointing towards sections that don't exist. To break it down further:

  • "Demographics of ..." - 1/45 to sections that don't exist
  • "Culture of..." - 57/75 to sections that don't exist
  • "Economy of..." - 7/55 to sections that don't exist
  • "Geography of..." 2/65 to sections that don't exist
  • "Politics of..." 19/66 to sections that don't exist

So please check that the target you're creating a redirect for actually exists. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:15, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, Midnight Citian, and welcome to Women in Red. It's good to see you intend to help us reduce the gender gap on Wikipedia. As you have not yet written any biographies of women, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. If you browse through our redlist index, you may find some candidates of interest to you. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 06:51, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Michel Sitbon

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In Michel Sitbon, you included a current access-date for a link that's been dead for years. The access-date should be the date that the reference was verified to work and to support the claim(s) it is used to reference. I found an archive-URL for this dead link, but I didn't put in an access-date, because I didn't verify that the reference supports the claim it references. —Anomalocaris (talk) 18:59, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Cannabis Sans Frontières, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 19:10, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for participating in the 420 Collaboration

Cannabis Magazine moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Cannabis Magazine, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. La Fille du coupeur de joints moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, La Fille du coupeur de joints, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Hello, Midnight Citian. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "La Fille du coupeur de joints".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Presidency Navigation Templates vs. Biography Navigation Templates discussion

[edit]

Hello, Midnight Citian! Since you are listed as an active member of the United States Presidents WikiProject, would you mind leaving a comment at a project talk page discussion about a series of templates that I created for the presidencies of Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush? Another editor and myself disagree about whether there should be a separate navigation template for each Presidency apart from the biographical navigation template.
