Simpsoncruft: so called when referring to a branch of fancruft relating to The Simpsons television series. The first known usage of the term "Simpsoncruft" was in an AFD debate regarding "List of Simpsons stores & signs". However, the usage of the term is now very real as can be seen in this list of Simpsons-related AFDs. A lot can be said about The Simpsons being a highly popular television show, yet its uncanny ability to generate a wide range of "crufty" and fan-isms in Wikipedia itself is a notable notoriety, preceding and even rivaling that of the influx of articles created as a result of the movie release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Though a majority of the articles have been deleted, this commonly overseen phenomenon is slowly working its way into legendary status, hence "Simpsoncruft".
It should be noted that not all "Simpsoncruft" is cruft, per se. A few articles tend to meet notability and verifiability status, or are simply liked enough by administrators to be able to stay.
