Type 1 vandalism is easily detected, and is mainly just annoying, any users who find it will probably just reload the page, as it's almost certainly page blanking
Type 2 vandalism damages the encyclopedia as a whole, and most of it is quickly reverted 10 to 60 seconds after it's made
Type 3 vandalism damages the academic quality of the encyclopedia, it is incredibly damaging to the encyclopedia, and happens to be the most common vandalism nowadays.
Some extra types of vandalism are:
Type 4: Type 2 vandalism that slips past the human "Counter vandalism patrol", it is much more damaging to the encyclopedia than type 3, 2, and 1.
Type 5: Vandalism that damages templates, even more damaging than type 4 vandalism and is usually reverted within minutes at most.
