Renee Alame (born 5 May 2009) is an Australian tennis player. She has a career high ITF junior combined ranking of No. 97, achieved on 30th September 2024. She currenlty trains at the National Academy in Homebush under the guidance of National Academy head coach David Moore.


Early life

Alame was born and raised in the suburb of Merrylands Sydney, New South Wales, where she attended Presbyterian Ladies' College, Sydney. When Renee was in year 8 the family made the decision to home school their children using the opportunity during COVID‑19 pandemic to really focus on Renee and her sister Rianna's tennis careers. Her sister, Rianna, also plays on the junior ITF circuit and is ranked inside the worlds top 200. She also has a twin brother Jayden who has Autism.

Junior national career

Alame began playing National junior tournaments in December 2019 at 10 years old in the 12/under age group, a few years later in April 2022 she won the first of her 3 NATIONAL titles at the Australian Clay Court Championships in Canberra defeating fellow New South Welshman Brooke Komorowski in the final 6-0, 6-1.

Later that year at the Australian Hardcourt Championships in Adelaide Alame won her 2nd National title this time disposing of Victorian Ava Beck in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to win her second national title and 1st in the 14/under age group where she became the first Australian junior ever to win national titles in two different age groups in a calendar year.

In 2023 Alame was back at the Australian Clay Court Championships in Canberra this time playing in the 14/under event. Alame made it 3 National titles in a row coming from behind in the final after being a set and 5-3, 30-15 down in the 2nd set to Western Australian Sara Nikolic before mounting a comeback to win 6-2 in the 3rd and final set.
