Scott Andrew Keelan
[edit]Born April 1972 in NSW, Australia, Scott is currently employed by the NSW Rural Fire Service and lives on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia. While enjoying his volunteer and professional career since September 2005, Scott has developed many and varies skills in Emergency Management and Incident Control.
Scott's career objectives are to;
- continue to challenge myself in all areas;
- be an adaptive employee, able to meet the requirements of any opportunity presented to me;
- develop my leadership skills and provide supervision to work teams;
- be responsible for significant outcomes which drive change in the workplace and also a shift in community attitudes;
- build my aptitude for delivering training programs and competency based assessment and ensure I am a sought after employee with a strategic focus on meeting legislative and regulatory outcomes;
- demonstrate my passion as a fire awareness educator in the van of policy change.
If you were to ask Scott about his role in future emergency management, he would tell you that contemporary fire mitigation and bush fire hazard reduction will rely on a sound understanding of environmental factors which influence fire behavior, and a practical understanding of community expectations and attitudes when confronted with emergency situations.
Scott believes he has the drive and focus to be coordinating programs which deliver these important outcomes.
