I am an anthropologist and archaeologist having worked in the field since 1996. I was born and live in Australia, today on the Sunshine Coast. I specialise in Native Title, cultural heritage management, conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation. My experience is with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples form all over Australia, especially northern New South Wales, Southern Queensland, Kimberly, Torres Straight (eastern groups), Central Australia and the souther Gulf country. I have been Director of Research and Native Title Manager at Queensland South Native Title Services; Community Manager at Queensland South Representative Body Aboriginal Corporation; Researcher and Lab Supervisor at the University of Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Unit and continue to hold the position of Honourary Research Advisor at the same Unit. I have tutored and lectured in various subjects including Working with Indigenous People; Introduction to Indigenous Studies; Indigenous Women's Music and Dance; Ethics in Practice, Introduction to Archaeology; and The Prehistory of Australia for the University of Queensland, University of New England and University of Southern Queensland.
I am Murrie, an aboriginal person from Australia, being a Gooreng Gooreng man. Gooreng Gooreng country is in Central Queensland, centred on modern Monto, Bundaberg and Gladstone.
