User:Many-worlds interpretation time machine theory
Physics today can explain how time travel in the future will become possible. String theory, quarks and the many-worlds interpretation of quantum theory give us a good understanding how every attosecond the universe branches into centillions of universes that do actually exist. Time being just a dimension the remaining problem is only how to navigate and move in this tree structure. Navigating tree structures is, however, a well-understood issue every undergraduate computer science student learns to do, so the remaining problem of writing the required software is all that remains in order for time travel to become available.
Why is this surprising statement actually true? Physics also tells us that the universe is the smallest computer that can calculate the physical system universe and therefore its future states. Any computer built within a universe to calculate its future would thus have to be larger than the universe it is meant to compute. Obviously computer science is the answer to the question how to program a computer and therefore computer science is the science that will solve this issue.
