Sometimes an edit war results when one side tendentiously edits content in a way that violates content policies such as verifiability, neutral point of view, nor original research, or what Wikipedia is not. In such cases, the article should not be protected by administrators. Instead, warn or block those who persist in damaging the encyclopedia.
