Texas Local Government Code
[edit]The Texas Local Government Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to organize county and municipal governments and grant them powers and jurisdiction. These codes regulate almost every facet of local governance including parks and other public spaces, local government officials, public safety, and access to utilities. [1] The code was enacted in 1987 by Texas SB 896, 70th R.S. as part of the ongoing revision process begun in 1963. [2]
