Proper usage of sidebar
[edit]I'm not sure that a sidebar box for Osteopathic medicine belongs on Sam Sheppard's page simply because he is an Osteopath. If there are no compelling reasons otherwise, the sidebar should be deleted or changed to include some biographical details. MontazeriSD 18:45, 1 October 2007 (UTC)MontazeriSD
- I agree that this template should not be included on Sam Sheppard. I also think it should not be on a page just because an article mentions osteopathic medicine (whether the article is about an osteopathic physician or about an osteopathic school). Generally, these types of templates are only placed on articles that the template actually has a link to. If you look at an article about any person, you don't see a sidebar containing links relevant to their profession. Similarly, if you look at articles about any college, you don't see a sidebar containing links relevant to the subject matter the school teaches. I would support removing this template from all articles that do not have a link on the template itself. --Scott Alter 22:21, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- This sounds more than reasonable to me. I'm in full agreement. User:Hopping T 21:35, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
MD
[edit]I removed MD as it is unknown whether he actually ever received one. See talk on other pages. --220.246.239.68 (talk) 06:18, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
