How can five qualify under the definition of "mass"?

[edit]

2019 London Bridge stabbing has been removed. It fits the criteria of a mass stabbing because Usman Khan stabbed five people in a single incident. Mass stabbing (or shooting) usually requires a minimum of 4 victims, regardless of how many deaths it causes. Jim Michael (talk) 04:34, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

((@Jim Michael: please explain why you think as few as four qualifies as "mass" when "mass" generally means a large number. -- DeFacto (talk). 10:43, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I see your point, but mass stabbing/shooting/murder etc. is typically defined as 4 or more. That's why articles such as List of mass shootings in the United States in 2019 include incidents with 4 or more victims & many of the articles in this template had a single-figure number of victims. I think we should wait to see how the parallel discussion at Talk:2019 London Bridge stabbing#Mass stabbing turns out before deciding whether to include 2019 London Bridge stabbing here. -- DeFacto (talk). 15:25, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
