Avoid repeat of the closed preliminary investigations?

[edit]

We should shift the second and third sentences to first list the opened-preliminary-and-neither-closed-nor-progressed-to-full-investigations, and second the opened-preliminary-and-closed. Currently the opened-preliminary-and-closed cases get listed twice.

Any objections? Boud (talk) 17:44, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Order: alphabetic or ICC-chronological?

[edit]

I shifted the order in the lists to alphabetic. The ICC sources seem to put the cases in chronological order of when the first request for a preliminary investigation starts. That might be a good choice for us instead of alphabetical order, but these dates may differ from readers' general perception of the chronological order of cases, because the time from initial request through to either closing or a full investigation and then through to arrest warrants varies a lot between cases.

In either case, we should do this consistently, not just have random changes in the order that leave the reader guessing. Boud (talk) 18:50, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
