Usage
[edit]This template specifies a common style for all sidebars about Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom. Background colour is derived from the PM's political party, e.g. Conservative.
The signature is automatically hidden when this template is placed on the main biography page, because it is already displayed in the infobox.
The coat of arms is not automatically included to ensure the appropriate period style can be used. Ensure it is added and select from the below when including:
- 1837–1901 (Victoria) –
Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom (1837).svg{{!}}link={{!}}alt=
- 1901–1952 (Edward VII – George VI) –
Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom (HM Government, 1901-1952).svg{{!}}link={{!}}alt=
- 1952–2022 (Elizabeth II) –
Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom (HM Government) (St Edwards Crown).svg{{!}}link={{!}}alt=
- 2022–present (Charles III) –
Coat of arms of the United Kingdom (2022, lesser arms).svg{{!}}link={{!}}alt=
Optionally, an extra |bottom=
parameter can be used to add an insignia below the British Government seal, see for example {{Margaret Thatcher sidebar}} with her personal coat of arms.
