Cyril Ramaphosas tenure as the 5th President of South Africa began on the 15th of February 2018 after the resignation of President Jacob Zuma the day before. [1] Ramaphosa is a member and president of South Africa's ruling party the African National Congress, and has served a single term as the Deputy President of South Africa from 2014 to 2018 under Jacob Zuma.[2]
