William Gordon Burn Murdoch
[edit]- ... that a polar bear sketch by William Gordon Burn Murdoch, who painted an 1892 Antarctic Expedition (pictured), has been used as a Christmas card?

- Do have a go at a hook @Maille66 - I was a bit worried that people might assume that this was the picture used in the xmas card - and my reading of the source implies this might be the case but it doesn't make this 100% clear. I agree the picture itself is quite a hook. Victuallers (talk) 10:28, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
- I agree that the sketch used as a Christmas card by the Society must have been a different one as it's described in the cited source as containing polar bears (plural), i.e. ('a charming pen and wash study of polar bears, an image which the Society has used in the past on its Christmas cards'). That being the case, the article is good to go with the original hook as it's new, long enough, has inline citations throughout, image is free. Offline source for hook AGF.
