- Comment: Sorry if these are a lot of hooks. If the main hook isn't good, pick whichever one you think would be good for the front page (I prefer ALT3 and ALT4 the most).

- 4 is the strongest, but at the same time, I think the 5th one should be reworded for something better in terms of that gun. 4 meets all length and age (17K bytes at start; made 2-25), neutrality (not biased in any way), no negativity issues. 3 is really bland and probably the one I like the least. 2 is above that. 1 is really not a good hook. I think 4th is the strongest, but 5th could be improved to be the superior one. Lack of photos hurts the article in my opinion, but that's not a DYK requirement. I would, however, redo citation 1 to mark LAPD as publisher. Mitch32(won't you be my neighbor?) 01:06, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hey. Sorry for not replying earlier.
- What do you mean by "something better in terms of that gun"? Could you suggest a better hook for ALT5?
- I did that LAPD publisher thing already. Not at the time you posted your review, but I still did it.
- In replying, I added a link to the special forces page in ALT4, because I forgot to do that the first time around.
- Also, if you have to pick, yeah, I'd agree ALT4 is pretty good. AdoTang (talk) 12:20, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- What I meant is that your source mentions the gun. It might be a better hook if you list the name of the gun in a such as form. Mitch32(won't you be my neighbor?) 14:25, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
- I still don't get you. Do you want me to add "such as the Kimber SIS" or something in there? Because that doesn't make sense and is incompatible with this sentence. Could you jot down an actual example of this? Because to me, ALT5 works as is. AdoTang (talk) 06:41, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
- ALT5A: ... that the LAPD Special Investigation Section designed its own handgun and body armor, such as its model 1911 pistol? Mitch32(won't you be my neighbor?) 02:05, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
Need new reviewer for hook ALT5A, just to be sure. Cielquiparle (talk) 17:06, 22 March 2023 (UTC)Striking previous request for new reviewer, as there are plenty of other approved hooks to choose from. Cielquiparle (talk) 08:43, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
