A fact from Winnie Yu (nurse) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 31 July 2020 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

Overall: I took the liberty of creating the talk page of Winnie Yu, adding the hatnote about her name on the article. Regarding the hook, I suggest mentioning the coronavirus pandemic and the reason behind the strikes, though HK's history with pandemics is very different with the rest of the world so it might still be baffling for the broader audience. @Corachow: Linked the articles as requested. In my experience "mainland China" with a small "m" appears to be common usage, both on the mainland China article and in news articles. My concern with mentioning the bit about her running for office is that it may be considered too promotional, as she is currently running for the Legislative Council. I think there is (or was) a rule against that, but I can't pinpoint it right now... feminist (talk)14:05, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I usually use a capital M, but since that article uses a small m, it should be fine. Also I think you should specify which month, considering how much had changed in the past few months, there's a very detailed article about the strikes on Chinese Wikipedia so if you can read Chinese you can get some more info and sources there. And on her running for office, I think you are correct. Corachow (talk) 14:18, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the month to the hook. I'll probably translate that Chinese Wikipedia article on the strike at some point. feminist (talk)14:29, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
