If it's of any interest, there is an excellent documentary about Marty Glickman, the athlete and sports announcer, currently playing on HBO. Glickman and Sidat-Singh played together on the Syracuse team, and in the documentary, Glickman reveals that when it was announced that Sidat-Singh couldn't play in the Maryland game, Glickman, a Jew who was left off the 1936 Olympics 400-meter relay team because of anti-Semitism, agonized over whether or not to announce that if Wilmeth couldn't play, Glickman wouldn't play either.
