Wrong image
[edit]The image which accompanies this page is actually of Thomas Bibb, William Wyatt Bibb's younger brother. The brothers don't look anything alike.64.240.208.169 18:38, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- You are right, I just found that out...[1] Jjmillerhistorian 10:34, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- I just replaced it with the correct image. Jjmillerhistorian 11:09, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Birthplace
[edit]Congress Bioguide shows William Bibb was born in Amelia County, Virginia [2]. Political Graveyard shows Prince Edward County, Virginia [3]. Alabama Department of Archives and History shows Amelia City, Virginia which appears not to exist [4]. I realise a part of Amelia County became Prince Edward County, but that was in 1754 well before Bibb was born. I just looked up in Find a Grave and it shows he was born in Prince George County, Virginia [5]. Where was he born? Jjmillerhistorian 11:59, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
People from Birmingham
[edit]How is Mr. Bibb listed under the category "People from Birmingham, Alabama" if Birmingham didn't exist until fifty years after his death?

Category:American slave owners
[edit]No mention of slave-owning. I feel that this category should be restricted to people whose slave-owning history was notable in itself. Valetude (talk) 04:57, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
