Why is some kid called Whitney from some cartoon show on the list under orginzations?
There is a link missing to the "Whitney (typeface)" page, I think. Not sure how I'd do that, so I'll leave it to the pros. :) 178.201.190.114 (talk) 20:23, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Whitney → Whitney (disambiguation) – "Whitney" may now have a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, and that is the American singer Whitney Houston. RMXY (talk • contribs) 12:37, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose move. The singer is obviously not the primary topic for Whitney, especially this long after her passing. I have some recollection of this being discussed before (maybe on a similar case like Miley), but can't find the link. O.N.R. (talk) 14:19, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. OP has presented no evidence that Whitney Houston is the primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 15:24, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Weak oppose the singer may be the most common use but don't seem to be primary for the single word. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:23, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- There's no actual argument here, just an assertion. Please read WP:PTOPIC for more information on how to propose such a change. As an obvious counterpoint, we can see for example https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Whitney which shows a nice spread of topics and nowhere near a situation where the proposed primary topic is receiving overwhelmingly more interest than all the other topics combined. Another one might be the overall significance and usage of the human names, both given name and surname, as well as Mount Whitney. (Oppose) --Joy (talk) 11:10, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. When searching the term "Whitney" in third party search engines, most of the results are for the Whitney Museum of American Art. Steel1943 (talk) 23:11, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. No primary topic. No idea why now Whitney Houston has become primary as the nominator suggests. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:42, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
