[edit]I'm really kind of surprised that the quotations have been kept around without any source information.Ebt66 (talk) 23:06, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
Date of Birth information is in Error
[edit]While researching a quote by Wendell Phillips, I noticed that the year of birth for Mr Phillips was different between the Wikipedia page and the Wikiquote page. As far as I have been able to determine, the DOB on Wikiquote (29 November 1811) is correct, and the Wikipedia date (29 November 1814) is incorrect. I will make this correction to the Wikipedia page: however, since I have made only a handful of edits on Wikipedia, I am not sure how such a change ought to be documented. Accordingly, I am recording the information for Wendell Phillips' date of birth here on the Talk page, and will make reference to this edit when I change the date. Wendell Phillips: Liberty’s Hero, James Brewer Stewart, Louisiana University Press, p. 3 : ISBN 0807123188 contains the following sentence : “In that first new Beacon Hill residence on November 29, 1811, Wendell Phillips was born.” The Encyclopedia Americana 1919 Edition (p. 764) also gives Wendell Phillips’ DOB as November 29, 1811. Each of these books can be found using a Google Books search. CononOfSamos (talk) 23:16, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
