Tina's 2008 Opening Night
[edit]Tina's Opening Night Concert was somewhat of a disappointment - not Tina, She was GREAT! But she needs new light and sound people. After paying $150 a ticket on May 8th and driving from St. Louis to Kansas City to see Tina Turner perform, it was disappointing to have the sound so loud we couldn't understand the words of the songs - even some of those we knew - and just about the time Tina was performing, those horrible lights would blind the audience to the point it was hard to tell if that was really her on stage. Tina is amazing and I'm still glad to have been there opening night but the memory could have been far more treasured without those blinding lights and half the decibles. Also the "Ninja's" first martial arts/dance/acrobatic number was rather offensive as it unfavorably depicted Security people fighting with unauthorized fan on the stage.
