Thermoacoustics in the kitchen

[edit]

I have persoanlly observed this effect (Thermoacoustics) in the kitchen. By mistake, I left a thick Iron Pan heating on gas stove for two hours. It was almost glowing red. But I also noticed a feeble continuous monotone coming out from the pan itself. It lasted for around 20 minutes. Room temperature was about 30c.
