[edit]A redirect isn't appropriate when there is a genre of literature called The Romance. See the article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.205.115.3 (talk • contribs) 08:52, November 17, 2003 (UTC)
Merge tag
[edit]I added the merge tag because it seems that in many of the links to this page, the link is more appropriate to one of the pages disambiguated from Romance, and vice versa. Since there seems to be so much confusion in the linking, maybe these could both make one big dab page? --Deville (Talk) 02:29, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- I don't see a reason why Romance and Romantic can't have their own disambiguation pages. I also think that both should be strict dab pages, with a link to Wiktionary at most. -Acjelen 23:41, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, there is a reason. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (adjectives). Wikipedia pages are not supposed to be adjectives. Wherever possible, adjectives should redirect to nouns.--Srleffler 05:25, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Shouldn't this go to romantic love article as the closest match, rather than to a DAB page? Bookgrrl 00:50, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Absolutely not, because the adjective romantic applies equally well to many of the other uses of romance. The DAB page is the only viable option here.--Srleffler 05:25, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
