Question
[edit]So is Tatadim the same Zagwe ruler known as Tantawedem, for whom there is independent evidence of his existence? See Derat Marie-Laure, "The Zāgʷē dynasty (11-13th centuries) and King Yemreḥanna Krestos", Annales d'Ethiopie, 25 (2010), pp. 162f. -- llywrch (talk) 01:11, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Tatadim sounds alot like Gudit's other alias as other sources indicate her name was Tedin and she was the daughter of Maya, obviously this would be too embarrassing for the dyanasty hence the distortion. According to the source you posted it could be an alternative spelling of his name, since p.163 states he was indeed succeeded by Jan Seyum. Magherbin (talk) 07:05, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
