Modifications
[edit]Hello.
I'm one of the ICT Team Members for Sydney Church of England Grammar School. We have recently undergone a website redevelopment and I'm requesting to have the Web address under External Links be changed to http://www.shore.nsw.edu.au/ rather than http://www.shore.nsw.edu.au/shore.html.
Feel free to look at the current link and see an awful error. :)
Thanks,
ICT Service Desk, Shore School.

assess
[edit]Whats missing from this good start article is references for all the information. A list of alumni would also help to judge the schools importance. Welcome. Victuallers 12:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
userbox
[edit]File:Shorecrest.jpg | This user studies at Shore School. |
Is it not against Wikipedia Policy to have a userbox? Jpeob 05:03, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- It is against Wikipedia policy to have userboxes that are designed to provoke, offend, or reflect a POV. Therefore you can have

- but not

Specific Sporting Results
[edit]In the section on Sport, I believe it to be irrelevant to cite specific sporting results (which will vary on a year by year basis) unless the article is making the primary assertion that the school is particulalry strong (or weak as the case may be) in that particular sport. Hence, whilst it may be true that another school has been recently been more successful in the sport of rowing than the School the subject of this article, such a fact is of peripheral relevance to the article as a whole. --Calabraxthis 07:57, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Trial GPS sports
[edit]Before any mention should be made of checkers or poker as trial GPS sports, perhaps the editor could provide an appropriate citation?--Calabraxthis 11:02, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Reference to Elite Nine Australian Schools
[edit]I have partially restored the edit or Loopla referring to the Elite Nine Australian Schools as this appears to merely cross-refer to an academic study (not of Loopla's own choosing) rather than to state the editor's own POV, per the comment of Merbabu. --Calabraxthis 13:44, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- No - it needs to go - it certainly doesn't belong in the lead. It has verifiability problems, it's one academics POV, and it's notability hasn't been proven. --Merbabu 05:22, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Comments on the suitability of theis page for "Pending changes" would be appreciated.
Please update the Queue page as appropriate.
Note that I am not involved in this project any much more than any other editor, just posting these notes since it is quite a big change, potentially

The text and table both need to be updated to reflect this. He commenced on 1st January 2020. 58.167.89.132 (talk) 10:41, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

- Not done: @Shore School: Hello there, and welcome to Wikipedia! Article content is only added or changed based on reliable sources that report on it. You updating the page to reflect staff changes would not be within policy, and would most likely be reverted, unless you were to provide some sort of citation for the change.
- Furthermore, it appears you have a strong conflict of interest with this page and subject area. Per our policies, you are strongly advised to disclose your conflict of interest both on this page and on your user page. If your institution is paying you to perform edits on Wikipedia for any reason, this advisement becomes a requirement. You should also avoid editing this article and instead request an uninvolved editor to make edits via a
{{request edit}}
request on the talk page. - The reason you cannot edit this page is because an administrator has protected the page so that only editors with 4 days tenure and 10 edits can edit it. Once you meet this criteria, you will automatically be able to edit this page.
- Because you have not presented what changes you wish to make, nor given sources, I have marked this edit as not done and removed it from our queue of edits.
- If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me on my talk page or visit the Teahouse which is a venue specifically for helping out new users.

Change "Shore students may participate in a variety of sports, mainly within the GPS competition. Sports include rugby union, soccer, cricket, tennis, taekwondo, basketball, rowing, cross country running, athletics, shooting, surf lifesaving, and snowsports. Furthermore, the school is currently trialing new sports such as Australian rules football and hockey." to "Shore students may participate in a variety of sports, mainly within the GPS competition. The school is no longer trialling either of those sports and AFL is now a Winter Sport for anyone to play. 163.53.145.16 (talk) 04:42, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
