I think that it would perhaps be better to omit that extensive list of clubs and possibly incorporate the more important ones into the rest of the article. Mooseofshadows 02:21, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Confederate Flag Controversy?
[edit]Stratford had a major confederate flag controversy sometime between 1993 and 1995. An African-American student wore a t-shirt that had the confederate flag drawn in African colors. This led to the student being suspended. This was in the national news for a brief period, although I don't have any references for it. Does anyone? This would be a useful addition to the article if anyone knows more about it.
November 2003 Drug raid
[edit]I'm going to assume that someone involved with the school or the school district is keeping this article scrubbed, because I don't know how it could possibly ignore the drug raid by the Goose Creek PD on Nov. 5, 2003. It made national news. https://www.aclu.org/press-releases/landmark-settlement-reached-notorious-school-drug-raid-caught-tape Gruffbenji (talk) 02:23, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
- If you look at the history, the section got removed for lacking secondary sources. The article School-to-prison pipeline does have secondary sources (NY Times, CBS, CNN), so we should be good to add the section back if someone would review the old version to confirm that all claims are cited properly.
