Satellite team
[edit]Would it be NPOV to mention that Haas is just a satellite to Hendrick Motorsports? I've heard this mentioned during several telecasts. --D-Day What up? Am I cool, or what? 13:38, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds marginal to me. It would be better if you could find a source. Royalbroil 13:45, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
The red logo appearing as the official logo of Stewart-Haas Racing is actually not the official logo. That logo was made for the presentation of the teams announcements. Yet the official logo can be found on the new SHR merchandise and also at the Army/Ryan Newman press conference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Savarese85 (talk • contribs) 18:22, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:70 Martinsville Overhead.jpg
[edit]Image:70 Martinsville Overhead.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:JeffGreenCar.jpg
[edit]The image Image:JeffGreenCar.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Needs to be edited
[edit]The first sentence --"Stewart-Haas Racing is a criminal organization designed to murder competitors rather than defeat them on the race track." -- might not have been objectively written or substantively demonstrated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stewchang (talk • contribs) 16:32, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- It was vandalism which has since been removed. But thanks for the report. DH85868993 (talk) 10:23, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

New article or redo this one if it stays as an Xfinity team?
[edit]I am wondering if SHR (or what's left of the team) does become a Xfinity-only team. Do we redo this one or make a new article? MysticCipher87 (talk) 20:14, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- Late to this, but I'm pro-new article. This is a shift in the team, much like how the OG haas team is seperate from SHR. glman (talk) 23:04, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
Split?
[edit]I propose we split this article with Haas CNC Racing. I feel like Haas CNC Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing need two separate articles similarly, like how Richard Petty Motorsports and Legacy Motor Club are separate or how Haas Factory Team is separate from this. I feel like Haas CNC Racing has enough history to be a separate article. MysticCipher87(alt-account) (talk) 23:28, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose - I don't see any reason to do so. Stewart-Haas Racing is a continuation of Haas CNC Racing because Tony Stewart purchased an ownership stake in the team in 2009. Haas Factory Team is a separate page because SHR shut down this year and HFT is a new racing entity, making it separate from SHR. This is not the case with Haas CNC Racing.
- SteeledDock541 (talk) 01:53, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Support: - Haas CNC and SHR, while it was the same team re-branded, felt like a completely different team as the team flipped a switch when Stewart came in as a co-owner. The team also completely changed car numbers (No. 66 and No. 70 to No. 14 and No. 39), drivers, key personnel (the crew chiefs who came to the team in 2009 to work with Stewart and Newman came from more competitive teams than the old Haas CNC team) and sponsors (they poached Office Depot and the Army away from other more competitive teams- I doubt they would've sponsored the team when it was Haas CNC) and the team had an increased alliance with Hendrick Motorsports after Stewart came in which made them way more competitive than they had been as Haas CNC. I agree with what you said about the Petty team having separate articles in each era of ownership. I think splitting Haas CNC and SHR into separate articles would be a good idea.
