The result of the move request was: Moved to Michael Barber (educationist), I trust the earlier editors who supported the honorific-less title would not find issue with this option as it preserves the dab. Even the opposer's argument favors this outcome. As for merging Michael Barber with Mike Barber, I will let @Thryduulf: follow-up on that. ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 19:42, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
Sir Michael Barber → Michael Barber – Per Manual of Style we don't use honorifics in page names. Cf Michael Caine, Michael Gambon and assorted other Sir Michaels Itsmejudith (talk) 10:28, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

- Support. This should be uncontroversial. Thryduulf (talk) 21:48, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
- Not sure - I though we do use Sir sometimes, and what happens to the dab Michael Barber? In ictu oculi (talk) 10:38, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- The obvious thing to do with the dab would be to merge it to the existing dab at Mike Barber. I'll alert the dab talk pages of this discussion. Thryduulf (talk) 15:54, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose No evidence has been put forward for why this Michael Barber is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC - there are a lot of this name. If evidence is put forward, the dab should be moved to Michael Barber (disambiguation). Boleyn (talk) 18:29, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- Move to Michael Barber (educationist). No primary topic, but we shouldn't use his title either (see Talk:Christopher White (art historian), which has recently been closed). -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:19, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
- Move to Michael Barber (educationist) per wp:ncroy and wp:primarytopic walk victor falk talk 10:23, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Out of date methinks
[edit]This article is important and seems out of date. Adding to my mental list of updates in progress - anyone interested? - Sara FB (talk) 20:39, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
Hey Sarah - as it happens I've got a bunch of sources & research I pulled together in making a film about the subject. If any of it would be of use here I'd be happy to help. See here : http://followersoftheapocalyp.se/opened13 for some links. I'm a little nervous about diving in given WP:BLP and such...

No criticism?
[edit]A little hagiographic in tone, doesn't mention some well-regarded criticism of Pakistan work for example? http://blogs.worldbank.org/developmenttalk/data-guide-sir-michael-barber-s-good-news-pakistan Mithra26 (talk) 19:54, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
