Hi there. Regarding this edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sadko&diff=278064081&oldid=278060556 , I've looked online and can not find any evidence anywhere that Alexi Tolstoy wrote any item called or related to the subject of Sadko. In fact, in over 100 search results on Google, every one is a direct quote from the Wikipedia article...and as an experienced editor like yourself must know, Wikipedia articles can not use themselves as sources.

Further, I can not determine if the poem was supposedly written by Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy or Aleksey Nikolayevich Tolstoy.

If you have any information or reference to back up your removal of the "citation needed", please include it in the Sadko article, otherwise we will need to replace the 'fact' tag. Thanks.

In the future please discuss such issues in article talk pages rather than slap tags whose usage you seem don't quite understand.
To the point: Next time please don't forget to search google books. In addition, the English wikipedia article about the poet contains a link to the complete list of works.
As to my revert: your edit: {{otheruses|date=March 2009}} {{copypaste|date=March 2009}} looked more like a test by a novice rather than something sensible. - 7-bubёn >t 03:08, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wow. Civility at it's best. You're a cunt. PS- Don't forget the tildes. 207.237.33.36 (talk) 06:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I explained my rationale and fixed the problem with refs and poet, per your request. Now your turn: Please explain your tags: why {{otheruses|date=March 2009}} and why {{copypaste|date=March 2009}}. - 7-bubёn >t 00:18, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Ilya Repin - Sadko - Google Art Project levels adjustment 2.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on May 3, 2016. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2016-05-03. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 00:56, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sadko
Sadko is a character in the Russian medieval epic Bylina. An adventurer, merchant and gusli musician from Novgorod, Sadko becomes wealthy with the help of the Sea Tsar, but is thrown in the sea when he fails to pay the Sea Tsar his due respects. This story was widely adapted in the 19th century, including in a poem by Alexei Tolstoy and an opera by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

Shown here is Sadko in the Underwater Kingdom, an 1876 painting by Ilya Repin. It depicts Sadko meeting the Sea Tsar under the sea.Painting: Ilya Repin
