Title

[edit]

I wonder whether the title of this article is chosen well. Coastal Cities Events is a very generic term which is difficult to place. (December) 1970 Insurrection in Poland ;or something similar seems like a better and more descriptive title. Chelman 13:25, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The title "Coastal cities events" could be taken as referring to a Sopot music festival. How about: "Polish 1970 protests"? logologist 03:00, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Polish 1970 protests1970 Polish protests – Or 1970 Poland protests? Must be consistent with articles about protests, titled year region protests. George Ho (talk) 06:04, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for the shooting

[edit]

Why did ‘the soldiers ha[ve] orders to stop workers returning to work’, when the VP had explicitly called on them to return to work? ‘Because communists evil’ is not a sufficient explanation. The article on Zbyszek Godlewski at least explains that it was ‘under the pretext of preventing an industrial sabotage action’, although it doesn’t source that claim and also implies that it was just ‘a pretext’ (while in reality, presumably, it was because of communists’ eternal thirst for Polish blood or something). 62.73.72.3 (talk) 11:35, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
