Photo
[edit]There should be a photo of Pernell Roberts uploaded to this page. Does anyone have one? Better yet, three: one as Adam Cartwright, one as Trapper John and a recent photo of the actor himself.
Early years
[edit]There should be more info on his life before acting.
No biographical sheet would be complete without mention of the fact that Pernell Roberts has been representing the Christian Childrens Fund on endless TV spots over the years. He don't look nothing like Adam anymore. Most people would not know who the white haired old man on these ads is since they never mention his name.==
REPLY: Please be sure of your facts. Pernell Roberts was ABSOLUTELY NOT the elderly, bald-headed gentleman who emcees those Christian Children's Funds, nor any other such outreach. In one commercial, the man even gives his own name- IT IS NOT PERNELL ROBERTS!!! Please delete!
Point two: Roberts never, ever did Soap Operas as was stated in the article. The contributer is clearly confused with another "Bonanza" actor, David Canary, who was added to the cast in 1967- two years after Roberts left. They didn't even play the same character. Please delete!

DA, THIS DISCUSSION PAGE IS A FORUM!?! "Her Pegship" seems to desire an autocracy!!!- SL Pernell did do a soap opera, The Bold and Beautiful, a one time apperance is all.And He also did contribute to Christian charties, like I said , I have known Him for over 45 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.82.162.11 (talk) 00:44, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
Also Pernell looked exactly like Adam all through his life. Even in Trapper John, he looked like the same person, same as his younger years as a teenager. He just got handsomer and handsomer all through the years, even at 81, he was still very handsome. You need to get your facts straight before writing about this wonderful man who gave so much to the world. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.82.162.11 (talk) 00:50, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
Pernell Roberts attended at the Michael Landon funeral. It was by personal invitation. He attended the funeral and was seen talking to David Dortort. He also spoke at the funeral under condition of "pictures and no publicity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.29.220.172 (talk) 17:26, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
No, he never appeared on The Bold And The Beautiful, not even for a cameo, and it can safely be said that both Adam and Trapper John looked like Pernell Roberts, not "he looked exactly like Adam". Roberts gave the characters life, not the other way around. In fact, he didn't look "exactly like Adam all through his life", since the character of Adam Cartwright never had a beard, and had a full head of hair. Roberts also isn't on record as donating to Christian charities, so any statement to that is unsupported. If you want people to believe you "knew him for 45 years", you need to get your own facts straight. Tahoegal (talk) 01:28, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Marriages
[edit]The article states that Pernell was married four times yet only lists three wives. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.177.195.62 (talk) 02:56, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- All four are listed now. Does anyone know when his fourth marriage took place? Lkjhgfdsa 0 (talk) 04:31, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Pernell was married 4 times, Vera from 1951-1959, had a son, Chris, Judith from 1962-1971, Kara from 1972-1996, they were seperated for 3 years before they divorced, Then He got togethe with Elenor Criswall, a friend of 50 years, there is no record of Him being married, however that is what He said He was. Please take this from a person who has known Him for over 45 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.82.162.11 (talk) 00:28, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
His fourth wife is Dr. Eleanor Criswell (not Elenor Criswall), and their marriage was duly licensed under California's confidentiality law in 1997. If you "knew him for over 45 years" (which is irrelevant here), you'd probably know how to spell her name properly. Also, he separated from Kara Knack in 1987, not 1993.
