[edit]This article was horribly POV in favor of Peconic County - it should be noted that a minority of people within the proposed Peconic County approve the separation. Certainly the nostalgic final section of the article was a travesty to the NPOV policy. - Cuivienen 23:16, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
Suffolk County is not a bedroom community. A far smaller portion of people work in New York City than work within their own county, or neighbor Nassau.
I understand the need or desire to split Suffolk County, but it more likely should be done to support the full time residents of the County, not people who own vacation homes that are not their PRIMARY residence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.125.42.179 (talk • contribs)
This should really be titled Peconic County, New York (Proposed County), because it's misleading otherwise and creates the impression that Peconic County already exists. 24.151.121.209 (talk) 00:45, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Places NOT within the proposed county
[edit]Why are there all these locations that are not in the five eastern towns of Suffolk County listed in the "Places within the proposed county" chapter? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 01:55, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
