Name

[edit]

The intro states her name is Cecile Pearl Witherington Cornioley which appears to be out of keeping with both the article name and text: it seems she was born Cecile Pearl Witherington (which she would be best known as) and after she married, she was Cecile Pearl Cornioley, but apparently not Cecile Pearl Witherington-Cornioley (with or without the hyphen), as far as I can see, which appears to be an attempt to conflate her birth and married names.

Can anyone confirm?

And apparently, at least from the article, she was rarely actually called Cecile either; other biographical articles often seem to say "born as" but I'm no expert on that sort of thing. It all seems rather confusing, and that's before even getting to her code names. --Vometia (talk) 09:29, 29 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
