Agree on proposed merger, with caveat that title should be OALD not just ALD: many ALDs in English and other languages exist. I don't know whether to be more frustrated that the structure of Wikipedia allows this bizarre duplication of effort to grow up, or more inspired that Wikipedia editors take the trouble to find them and flag them up. Strange alphabetical arrangement
The illustration for the CD-ROM edition of OALD is very strange. The word "wilco" should be, IMHO, alphabetically before "William Wilberforce". I don't know if this is a bug of the CD-ROM edition because I don't have it. But I am a lexicographer. I am the editor of Duden-Trud English-Bulgarian Pictorial Dictionary.
